My name is T, and I’m the younger brother of Y.
I currently live in the United States. Coming here and working in the U.S. was one of my biggest goals. After achieving it, I felt settled—almost too satisfied.
But during this trip to Ottawa, I saw my grandmother Aiko. Some of you may have heard about her—she’s 97 years old and traveled all the way from Japan at her age. That tells me that I, at roughly half her age, should be able to take on anything if I challenge myself. I’ve renewed my resolve: I will never settle and will keep taking on challenges for the rest of my life.
I’m also very grateful that I could spend time with my family—my mother, sister, and brother-in-law. They are all doing well, and I truly feel we are blessed.
