Every watch lover has a must-have watch list. I am not the exception. On my list, there are nearly 20 watches. I love them so much that I will die with regret if I could not own them. And my favorite one comes from the Picadilly collection of Xemex - a famous Swiss brand founded by Ruedi Kulling. The Xemex Picadilly collection, as the brand's leading line, contains a number of watches in different styles. The main models includes big date watches, non-big date watches and chronograph watches. Compared with other watches from this brand, this Picadilly watches better suit formal occasions with simple yet classic look and useful functions.
Well, my favorite is a big date. Sized at 40mm, it is crafted from high end stainless steel. The solid case has four strap lugs that features Panerai Power Reserve
separate screwed-on structures. The dial, in onyx black, comes with hand-applied Arabic numerals and slim stick markers. The style reminds my of those Panerai watches originally designed for aviators. The hour hand and minute hand have been nicely skeletonized and trimmed with white edges. And the red seconds hand is a beautiful finish touch of the dial design. The only pity is that the dial does not have any luminous application.
The Xemex Picadilly watch is powered by a Swiss ETA 2896 automatic movement with a big date complication. The secret behind the "big date" is that this movement has two discs to display it.
Completed this beautiful designer watch is a comfortable black leather strap. And I am so happy that the price is just under $2,400. Indeed, few nice pieces in the world bear such an affordable price.
