I'm about to head off to bed.
But before I do that, I'd like to write about my day, because it was very special.☆

First of all, today was the birthday of Sui-san, the vocalist of Megaromania. Happy birthday!

I managed to get all of my work done, so I'm prepared for tomorrow's class. My partner and I will be leading a seminar discussion about the Russian Revolution. ^-^

I made a new friend today as well. ^-^
Her name is Natsumi. She's an exchange student from Japan who's been studying here at the university.
She's a member of the Anime Society, like I am. We talked about Hetalia, and I discovered a new genre of manga.☆
She's very nice and helpful.☆ She wants to improve her English communication skills, so I want to do my best to help her in any way I can!

This afternoon, I received a parcel in the mail from my dad.☆
I wasn't expecting it to arrive until Wednesday, so it was a wonderful surprise.
What was even more surprising was what was inside. I wasn't told what he was sending.

He sent lots of different things!
- 3 DVDs
- Sweeney Todd
- Blazing Saddles
- Little Bear: Winter Games (A cartoon from my childhood. I love the music.☆)
- A bag of popcorn
- A box of Nerds
- A Cadbury Creme Egg
- A Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme bar
- Bubblewrap (It's really fun to pop!)
It's been a really long time since I've had any candy or chocolate.☆
Thank you very much, dad. ^-^

As well as Sui-san's birthday, because the 24th has just begun here, it's also my mother's birthday.☆
She would have been 54 years old today.
Since I don't have access to an oven, I'll try to go to the store today and buy perhaps a cupcake to celebrate.

Please make sure you spend some time with your own mother, too, both today and every other day. You only have one mother, and no matter what, she will always love you. A mother's love is unconditional.☆

Well, goodnight then.
I can't tell which one I feel more.

My small group of friends I have here at university decided to go to karaoke tonight. I tagged along, even though I'm not particularly comfortable in situations like that.
My grandma, however, encouraged me to go, and I could never say no to my grandma.

I was perfectly fine sitting there and looking through the song books, and humming along if I knew a song.
My "friends", however, weren't satisfied with this.
They came up with a plan to get me to sing. Essentially, they tried to pressure me into drinking.
Even the nicest guy in the group, Jason, wanted me to do it. He came up with the idea. I thought he would understand how I felt, and would try and tell everyone to leave me alone.
That pissed me off.
I paid for my part of the room rental fee, and I left.

So, here I am, back at square one.
I have no friends here now.
Friends don't pressure you into doing something you don't want to do, especially something like drinking.

Meanwhile, I finished a card today.

I highly doubt he'll be reading this, so I can safely say that this card will be sent to YUKI-san, as part of his birthday gift.
Do the flowers resemble violets at all? I hope they do.
The violet is the birth flower of February. ^-^
I couldn't quite think of what to draw, but this is the result.
I hope he likes it. Though I have a feeling he might not..
My hand hurts from drawing and colouring it....

I suppose that's all for now.
This week I'll be waiting for the rest of YUKI-san's gifts, and of course, studying.
I'll listen to some music, and then I'll go to bed.

That's the view outside of my window right now.

Usually I like the snow, but...
Right now it makes me feel miserable.

I wish I could go back to bed and sleep this day away, like Emerald.
But, I have class.
