Sensible Threadz is a new discount retail store at 208 S. Kirk Road in St. Charles. Carol Frey opened the doors in November after getting out of the mortgage business after 15 years.

She noticed that there is a lack of discount stores in the area and saw the desire for quality merchandise at a reasonable price, especially for children's clothing.At the store, Frey offers discounted new, namebrand clothing for infant through junior girl sizes, along with new, highend namebrand bedding and bath items. Specialty handmade organic soaps, decorative, madetoorder pillows and runners, and soon to be added oneofakind jewelry and greeting cards are also available.
Sensible Threadz also offers resale limited to junior girls, accepting gently used namebrand clothing. All new items within the store are 50 to 80 percent off of retail.
Frey welcomes customers to shop her eBay store, Carol's Closet of Values, for men's clothing and school uniforms and pick up items at her store. She also offers eBay trading assistance, personal shopping services and steaming services.

Jane Pabon, the store, is a highend consignment shop that specializes in the "what to wear" of fashion. Pabon, of St. Charles, calls the store an "eclectic boutique."
"We have a big array of things," said Pabon, who opened the store in 2009 to showcase "new, gently used and vintage items by noted designers at affordable prices." Pabon says fashion is her passion; she helped open Ann Taylor on Chicago's Michigan Avenue and worked for Marshall Field's at Woodfield Mall.
Pabon partnered with manager Christina Stammen to bring the store to Geneva and expand its size and offerings. Stammen reworks vintage jewelry into stunning wearable pieces, and Pabon acts louis vuitton sale as a personal fashion stylist and personal shopper.
Look to Jane Pabon to find upscale brands like Dolce and Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Armani and more. The store offers a range of styles, from casual looks by J. Crew to evening dresses by Lillie Rubin. "We focus on quality," Pabon said.
New to the store is Christina's Closet, a clothing boutique downstairs from Jane Pabon, where women in need can peruse through clothing that would otherwise be donated. "We'll help them create outfits, and they can take what they need," she said.

Fox Valley Repertory is in its seventh year as the professional, nonprofit theater company in residence at Pheasant Run Resort.
