I own his first recipe book Ottolenghi (thanks Terence and Jelena!) and I've loved every recipe I've made so far. The dish, on page 190 of the fabulous “Jerusalem” cookbook gifted to me by my friend Letty, is reputed to be excellent. I've read through it so many times, I feel as though we are friends. We picked 6 different dishes and I can say ALL of them turned out more than delicious and each added a splash of color to the table. Yotem Ottolenghi interweaves traditional recipes from all quarters of Jerusalem with personal stories and fascinating information about the city. Our first cookbook dinner club was based on Yotam Ottolenghi's Plenty Cookbook. Jerusalem, the cookbook, has been sitting amongst my growing pile of books for the past few months. This cookbook has not ceased to amaze me. A few other dishes I'm hoping to try soon from Jerusalem include: Barley risotto with marinated feta. Jerusalem is the third cookbook released by Ottolenghi in conjunction with Sami Tamimi. I don't like to buy cookbooks until I've tried them out. Everything looked tasty and it was hard to decide what to make. We have THE BEST local library and so I put the Jerusalem cookbook on hold. Hummus I've had my eye on this cookbook for a while.
