Review:
Hey! Want to know how to ride a bike and never been there? This is the book for you. There are so many things to know about motorcycling, and this book is the best way to get into it. The book starts from the beginning, choosing a bike, controls, etc. and go on to strategies, protective gear, group riding, etc. Really really helpful. Also, they encourage You to take any of the courses of the MSF, it should be nice. And remember, what will make you a great rider is a LOT of practice.

If you want to ride a motorcycle then the MSF course is a must period. The MSF class teaches you so much while allowing you to practice in a safe and calm riding environment with trained instructors at your side to ask questions and get help from. Not to mention that some insurance companies will give you a policy discount on your monthly insurance payments for taking and passing the MSF course. You also don't have to do the DMV riding test if you pass the MSF course. So in the end the MSF course is more then worth what you paid to take the course for on top of the safety and riding training you get. But if you have 2009 yamaha v star 950, you can read 2009 yamaha v star 950 owners manual for free at free pdf files site.

Outside of the MSF course this book is a good primer to mentally prepare you for the key ideas on how to ride a motorcycle and what forces are at work while riding. Ideas like counter steering, smooth control inputs, avoiding target fixation, and a light over view of potential road hazards you might face and many more other topics are all discussed in this book. It also goes on to talk about other areas some people might not think about such as how to select a proper helmet and what to look for in riding gear. It also talks about the effects of lack of sleep, drugs and alcohol all have on a rider.

This book is aimed at teaching safe motorcycle handling for the street. There is a wide range of topics about how a motorcycle works and what the operator can do to make it safer and more fun. Some of the handling tips will answer questions about the things that are of constant concern to all motorcyclists. In case you didn't know it there are two super common screw ups riders get hurt over: Cars turning head on into your lane causing you to run into them and bad cornering technique on the part of the rider causing the bike to crash without any help from anybody else but himself!

In the end this is a very good primer book if not a refresher for those who have just finished the MSF course and need to brush up a little on some key concepts.

Did you know how to make money with online business? Online passive income is the ultimate dream. Making money while you sleep. Everybody wants it. But is it really possible? The short answer is "yes." The longer answer is "yes, but it isn't easy to accomplish." If it was, wouldn't everyone be doing it? In this ebook.

This book/ebook, How to Make Money Online by Mike Omar is a step-by-step plan on how to develop a passive income website portfolio and show you how making money online actually works (with links to supporting video lessons for extra clarity).

The specific plan is designed to make you $5,000 per month in passive income earnings, based on 10 websites, with each website having a targeted earnings level of at least $500 each. Once you understand the process though, you can decide to build 20 of these websites, or 100!

When you stop is up to you (and yes, there are people making tens of thousands of dollars per month on the Internet based on these concepts - they just love the work and don't ever stop building new websites or expanding their current ones!).

What's great about the business plan that this ebook teach you is not only the income level you will accomplish if you follow through, but all that you will learn in the process. The skills you learn in this ebook will enable you to build all kinds of online businesses and open the door for all kinds of entrepreneurial projects you may have. Not only that, you will be able to evaluate business ideas much more intelligently once you've gone through this whole process. You will understand the fundamentals of keyword research & analysis, traffic & lead generation, social & affiliate marketing, monetization & conversion testing, and traffic analysis.

These skills will help you immensely in ANY business you ever decide to start (online or not, passive or not). Generating an online passive income won't happen overnight and takes a lot of hard work, but going through the process is completely worth it and having an exact plan of action is the ONLY way to ensure success.

This is a business. Except with this online business instead of trading your time for money (like most jobs), you are investing your time. You work hard now and continue to reap the benefits indefinitely. Building an online business takes a lot of work and a lot of patience, but the rewards can be amazing.
This is the backbone for the PMP test. If you are a member of PMI, you can download a PDF version for free. But it is always good to have a hard copy.

This shouldn't be your only resource if you plan to take the PMP exam. It doesn't give you all the knowledge you need to pass the exam, which is odd. Rita Mulcahy's prep book is a must read. So is the Head First PMP book, which explains everything in plain English.

In preparation for the exam, know the Project Management Process Groups & Knowledge Areas inside and out. Learn the inputs & outputs. Also know the formulas and network diagrams. Do a lot of practice exams.

Note: This version (fifth edition) is for those planning to take the test after August 2013. If you want to take the test before mid-July, you need the 4th edition of PMBOK.

As a starter in the discipline of Project Management, this is a great book! It points out the complete structure of how things can be organised in several area's, professions and tasks. Now reading through Chap 5, all is overviewed well and still very detailed.

Each update of the PMBOK guide incorporates changes designed to evolve and improve the project management profession. This book is an excellent reference for educating those new to project management and it should be on the desk of every practicing project manager to remain current in the field of study.

For those looking to prepare for the PMP exam this guide provides a solid and reliable foundation on which to build.
If you're like most Acrobat users--creative, business, and engineering pros who work with complex electronic documents--you can ill afford to miss a beat in your production workflow. Then again, you can ill afford being left behind when it comes to mastering the newest version of the important tool on your desktop, Adobe Acrobat 7. Not to worry: Adobe has brought the classroom to you in this handy volume, completely revised to cover all that's new and different in Acrobat 7. Through a series of self-paced lessons (each of which builds on the last and includes hands-on projects that the you can create using the files on the accompanying CD-ROM), this guide acquaints you with all of Acrobat 7's features for creating, reviewing, editing, commenting on, restructuring, and preflighting PDF files, including the newest: a tool for creating 3D objects, improved security, new tools for repairing errors in print preflight, structured bookmarks, the ability to export comments to Word docs, and more. Professional tips and techniques are scattered throughout!

If you are a beginner to Acrobat document preparation, the lessons will guide you through the basics and take you through the more advanced features. While there is not substitute for experience, a first time user of Acrobat should have no trouble completing the lessons and applying the knowledge to their own projects.

Experienced Acrobat users may wish to use this book as a reference and to quickly get up to speed with the new features. Depending on your level of experience, you may wish to bypass the first three chapters.

The chapter dealing with forms creation using LiveCycle Designer is invaluable. While this is not a tutorial on successful layout, it does provide a very in depth look at the mechanics behind the creation of a form that may be filled out and printed. Features such as text fill in boxes, radio buttons and check boxes are presented along with tips on how to use them effectively. If you are not used to using Acrobat as a creative tool, this section may be an eye opener.

There are also excellent sections on designing pages that make the best use of the medium and how to improve accessibility of your electronic documents. Again, while these are not definitive, the guidelines will point the way to using the features of the program to make the best use of medium in getting your message to as many people as possible. The other chapters are all equally well written and provide good groundwork for such areas as pre-press and electronic publishing.

There is little discussion of workflows or the steps one might take end-to-end to create such a free PDF files with desired properties. For example, everyone has seen PDFs with tables of contents and indexes that hyperlink to the specified page, but there's no mention of that in this book and you won't learn how to do it here.

The book is packaged with a CD-ROM containing all the exercise materials and some tutorial videos. The videos, from lynda and from Total Training, cover most of the features new to Acrobat 8 and are very well done. The book itself is competent but uninspiring.

If you are a fan of Michael Connelly
and his world this book will keep you up until the early morning. This book explores the humanity of Mickey as he struggles with his own shortcomings and failures as a father and a friend. The end is quite surprising but has become to be expected from someone as talented as Connelly.

Mickey Haller gets the text, "Call me ASAP - 187," and the California penal code for murder immediately gets his attention. Murder cases have the highest stakes and the biggest paydays, and they always mean Haller has to be at the top of his game.

When Mickey learns that the victim was his own former client, a prostitute he thought he had rescued and put on the straight and narrow path, he knows he is on the hook for this one. He soon finds out that she was back in LA and back in the life. Far from saving her, Mickey may have been the one who put her in danger.

Haunted by the ghosts of his past, Mickey must work tirelessly and bring all his skill to bear on a case that could mean his ultimate redemption or proof of his ultimate guilt. The Gods of Guilt shows once again why "Michael Connelly excels, easily surpassing John Grisham in the building of courtroom suspense" (Los Angeles Times).

Michael Haller has been and always will be a defense lawyer who believes in the right of everyone to a fair trial. An attempt to work on the other side of the aisle created a scenario where he lost more than he could have ever anticipated. Mickey watched and learned from those who practiced before him with the understanding that at times you have to step back and look at the big picture.

The case he is working on now started with a crime that was committed ten years ago and involves a woman that Mickey thought he had saved. The man accused of brutally murdering Mickey’s former client may not have taken every righteous road in front of him but he is not capable of murder and this is what Mickey is going to prove. With Mickey’s team in place the group moves forward with putting the pieces of what happened the night of this murder and how it ties into one from so long ago that no one ever paid attention to.

Every aspect of this book is exceptional - the story arc and pacing, the investigative phase and courtroom drama, the relationships between lawyers and clients, and the tension and drama between the prosecutors and the defense attorneys, Connelly absolutely knocked all of it out of the park.

The First Phone Call from Heaven tells the story of a small town on Lake Michigan that gets worldwide attention when its citizens start receiving phone calls from the afterlife. Is it the greatest miracle ever or a massive hoax? Sully Harding, a grief-stricken single father, is determined to find out. An allegory about the power of belief—and a page-turner that will touch your soul—Albom's masterful storytelling has never been so moving and unexpected.

Readers of The Five People You Meet in Heaven will recognize the warmth and emotion so redolent of Albom's writing, and those who haven't yet enjoyed the power of his storytelling, will thrill at the discovery of one of the best-loved writers of our time.

The story is about a handful of people living in the the small town of Coldwater that suddenly start receiving phone calls from family members or advisaries who have died. Are these calls from heaven? Is it truly the voices of the dearly departed? Or, is it a hoax? Mitch Albom unfolds every chapter delving deeper and deeper into the mystery.

The First Phone Call from Heaven by Mitch Albom is a tender and delightful story told through the life of Sully Harding, a disgraced pilot and widower, who returns home to Coldwater, Michigan, after a series of tragic incidents leading to his imprisonment and the subsequent death of his wife. The mysterious phone calls start one autumn morning. Tess was called by her mother whom she had nursed through Alzheimer's, and Katherine also received a call from her sister. Elias Rowe was called by a man who blames him for his death, and Jack, the police chief by his son Robbie, who was killed in Afghanistan. Most of the recipients keep quiet but one of them talks about it in the church. The news spread like wildfire.

Coldwater is swarming with a deluge of newshounds, miracle-seeking pilgrims and spiteful protesters. Amy Penn, a young and ambitious reporter, is entrusted the task of covering the case by her paper. It is the kind of assignment she has been long hoping for. It could make or break her career. She is also a little apprehensive as she could be on a wild goose chase, while at the same time she is genuinely hoping that it would be the beginning of a new direction in her career and life. But there is one nagging question that must be answered: Is it a real miracle or a hoax? No one knows. And the mad scramble continues.

What transpired in the book was first a clever exercise in the question of whether there is an afterlife to a deeper appreciation for the complexities in individuals and society as a whole for their overall place in this world.

This book is clever enough for various ages and interests
Murach's PHP and MySQL was developed by the same team that authored Murach's JavaScript and DOM Scripting, and it has the same strong content organization that lets you focus on what you need to know, when you need to know it.

So it's a great first book in web programming if you're just starting out:

  • It shows you how to get an Apache web server environment set up, so you can test the apps on your computer
  • It gives you a quick-start course that shows you how to develop, test, and debug PHP applications that get data from a MySQL database...in just 6 chapters

Then, whether you're a beginning or experienced web developer, the rest of the book gives you a full set of professional PHP and MySQL skills:

  • The 9-chapter section on PHP teaches you how to build web applications using all the skills that make for a smooth user experience...like how to handle forms, strings, dates, arrays, cookies, sessions, and exceptions
  • The 5-chapter section on MySQL teaches you all the standard features you need to know for working with databases...like how to design and create a database and how to use SQL and PHP to work with database data
  • The 4-chapter section on advanced skills teaches you how to handle professional requirements, like ensuring security, generating email, processing images, and working with code from other web sites (like YouTube videos)...and it culminates with a Guitar Shop web site that shows how everything in the book ties together

Regardless of what you're learning next, each chapter covers skills from the simple to the complex. So you can go deeper and deeper to gain a sophisticated set of web and database skills, at your own pace.

So don't wait! Get your copy right away. I think you'll be delighted at how quickly you'll be creating your own database-driven websites using PHP and MySQL.

Did you know what's the best approach for developing an application with JavaScript? This book helps you answer that question with numerous JavaScript coding patterns and best practices. If you're an experienced developer looking to solve problems related to objects, functions, inheritance, and other language-specific categories, the abstractions and code templates in this guide are ideal - whether you're writing a client-side, server-side, or desktop application with JavaScript. Written by JavaScript expert Stoyan Stefanov - Senior Yahoo! Technical and architect of YSlow 2.0, the web page performance optimization tool - JavaScript Patterns includes practical advice for implementing each pattern discussed, along with several hands-on examples. You'll also learn about anti-patterns: common programming approaches that cause more problems than they solve.

Explore useful habits for writing high-quality JavaScript code, such as avoiding globals, using single var declarations, and more Learn why literal notation patterns are simpler alternatives to constructor functions Discover different ways to define a function in JavaScript Create objects that go beyond the basic patterns of using object literals and constructor functions Learn the options available for code reuse and inheritance in JavaScript Study sample JavaScript approaches to common design patterns such as Singleton, Factory, Decorator, and more Examine patterns that apply specifically to the client-side browser environment

It's often difficult to find good intermediate to advanced technical books that help you get over the hump. This is most definitely one of those books, IMO, along with Javascript: The Good Parts by Crockford and High Performance JavaScript by Zakas.

If you're a beginner, even an ambitious beginner, such as an experienced programmer in another language, you don't want to start here. For beginners, as the most complete introduction to Javascript, the DOM and browser scripting; or Simply JavaScript from Sitepoint for a gentler introduction that emphasizes the separation of structured content (HTML), presentation (CSS) and behavior (scripting the DOM with Javascript).

Chapter 7, dealing with Design Patterns was my favorite because it dealt with the philosophical approaches to problems that startups and web-app developers face all the time: how to make code maintainable that triggers many events? (Answer: the "Observer" pattern). How to avoid "God Objects" in JS? One section provides a juicy example of refactoring a very concrete code sample to use proxies and caching for a performance boost. I've almost never seen a JavaScript book, blog, or article tackle refactoring. Typically, they show you one step at a time with no mistakes, and no need to revisit the code later. Stoyan Stefanov has instead tried to show you the true face of JavaScript development with it's messiness and ever changing project requirements.

Only the last chapter deals directly with Web development, and the book deliberately remains platform agnostic everywhere else (ex: applicable to NodeJS, Rhino, and web browsers). However, this last chapter deals extensively with best practices for deployment of JavaScript -- a complicated and much neglected topic. It also discusses event delegation and capability sniffing for event handling. If you use Dojo, jQuery, or any other library, this information is probably unnecessary since the library will have all these features baked in and exposed through well documented APIs.
