ピクニック

先週末、私達家族はマジュロに住む日本人数名と一緒に、ピクニックへ出かけた。
行った場所はエネコ島と呼ばれる場所で、マジュロ環礁内にある小さな島の一つ。

そこはマジュロの中心部からボートで20分ほどで行く事が出来る。
私がそこへ行くのは2回目だった。

この日は天気が良く風もなかったので、ボートはほとんど揺れずとても快適。
10:30頃島につくと、私たちは早速泳ぎ始めた。

天気の良いエネコ島はとてもきれいで、シュノーケリングをするだけで、
たくさんの魚を見つける事が出来る。

マーシャル諸島は太平洋の中頃に位置しますが、マジュロにはあまり砂浜が無い。
なので、南国気分を味わいたい人にはエネコはとてもおススメ。

私達は10時半頃から16時まで海水浴を楽しみ、
そして、ボートで港に戻り家についてのは17時でした。

家から離島のビーチまで1時間。

家の近くで南国気分を味わえるのは何と言ってもマーシャルに住む魅力の一つだ。


My family went on a picnic with some of my Japanese friends who live in Majuro.

The destination of our picnic was a small island called Eneko Island, 
which is one of the small islands in Majuro Atoll.

We can go there from Central Majuro by boat in about 20 minutes

It was the second time that I went there.

It was fine, and besides, it did not blow hard on the day. 
Our boat did not roll at all, so I felt comfortable on the boat.

We started swimming as soon as we reached the island at around 10:30.

Eneko Island is quite beautiful on a fine day, 
and we can see a lot of fish just by diving with a snorkel. 

Marshall Islands are located in the center of the Pacific Ocean. 
We cannot see any good beaches for swimming in Majuro.
So Eneko Island is a recommendable place to those who enjoy a tropical mood.

We enjoyed swimming from 10:30 A.M. to 4 P.M.

It was 5 P.M. that we returned home after coming back to the port by boat.

We can go to the beach of an isolated island from my house only in an hour.

After all, it is one of the biggest attractions of our living on the Marshall Islands that we can enjoy a tropical mood near my house.
