How to Download and Install iMovie for PC

Imovie Download For Macbook Air Keyboard Cover

In this method, we will be using the iPadian emulator to run any iOS and Mac OS X apps. Although this still has some minor bugs and some performance issues on some Windows drivers, this emulator is good enough for temporary use. Just use one of the most popular download managers to speed up any of your downloads.

  1. On your PC, open the web browser of your choices like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Search for the iPadian official website or you can download from our link above for free. You can use Internet Download Manager (IDM) to accelerate the download speed.
  3. Once the download finishes, you should run the installer.
  4. Choose a folder where you want it to install or just use Windows default folder like Program Files or Program Files (x86) depending on your Windows version.
  5. After the installation finishes, look for the iPadian icon shortcut on your main desktop. Double-click on it to launch the app.
  6. You will need to log in using your Apple ID just like what you do when you first use your Apple devices.
  7. Once you are in, go to App Store and search for the iMovie app.
  8. Install the app and wait for it to finish.
  9. When done, you can then start using iMovie for PC right away.

The iMovie Interface

The main interface for IMovie on the iPhone, iPad, MacBook Air, and Mac mini consist of four main elements. The Home screen displays your project list, as well as any media that you have added to your movie. The toolbar in the top-right corner allows you to add audio files to your project, which are then routed to your iTunes library for playback. The three main controls for editing the movie is located in the top-right corner of the toolbar, as are the project and clip options on the left.

The clips you add to your movie will appear on the clips tab at the top of the screen. You can drag these clips around, and once they are selected, drag them up and down to make your movie full screen. If you wish to make your video shorter, you can drag the clips up and down.

Editing your movie can be achieved in a variety of ways. You can use the basic controls to preview what you want to change and then apply the changes to the video, or you can use more complex editing tools such as “time shifting”undo.”

Time shifting allows you to rewind or fast forward a video in real time. By dragging a timeline in the time direction you want to move the video, you can move it forward or backwards in time. While you can’t actually undo something, you can choose to stop the video from being rewound, or redone it if you want to. and make changes to it. The undo button is located in the top-left corner of the Timeline controls.

The undo button is located on the right side of the Timeline controls, next to the video time shifting button. Undo allows you to undo the last action performed. You can’t undo pressing “Ctrl + Z”Home” while the undo button is active. If you don’t want to undo but still want to make changes, you can choose to delete the media file from the project using the delete button found under the title bar on the left-hand side of the video controls.

Editing your video is very easy. To make changes, simply drag a clip onto the track of the desired effect and drag it down to create the new effect. You can also use the mouse or your fingers to change the color of the clip. You can also change the size of the clip by dragging the track vertically or horizontally. If the video needs to be resized, simply drag the clip down, or drag the mouse wheel up or down to change the size of the clip.

To make redo your project, just select a clip and click the red button next to it in the Timeline toolbar. Now you can do whatever you want to the selected clip – insert text, cut, paste, delete or move to another track – while the edit continues in the same way as in the beginning of the movie. A redo button appears next to the track on the left side of the timeline controls. When you are satisfied with your video, you can save the movie by clicking “OK”.

Movie making software can be used for more advanced editing tasks. There are many software packages available to help you create professional-looking movies in an easily customizable way.

Share to a nearby device using AirDrop

You can use AirDrop to send your movies and trailers directly to another iPhone or iPad, or to a Mac. You can share a movie or trailer as a video file, or you can share a project file that you can continue to edit on the other device.

AirDrop works with iOS and iPadOS devices that have a Lightning connector or Mac computers with OS X Yosemite 10.10 or later. AirDrop transfers information using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology. You must be on the same Wi-Fi network, or within approximately 30 feet (10 meters) of the other device. Transfers are encrypted for security.

Note: AirDrop may transcode your video for maximum compatibility with the target device. To share without transcoding, export the project.

  1. Do one of the following:

    • From the Projects browser: Tap the movie or trailer you want to share.

    • If you’re editing a project: Tap Done (in the upper-left corner) to return to the project details screen, then tap the movie or trailer you want to share.

  2. Tap the Share button , tap Options, then do any of the following:

    • Share a finished movie or trailer: Tap Video.

    • Share a movie or trailer project for editing: Tap Project.

    • Choose the output resolution for a movie or trailer: Tap a resolution.

    • Choose the frame rate for a movie or trailer: Tap a frame rate.

    • Turn on HDR output for a movie or trailer: Tap HDR.

The HDR option is turned on by default if your movie or trailer includes high-dynamic-range (HDR) video. Use this option only if the target device can display HDR video properly. For compatibility with the most devices, turn off this option.

  3. Tap Done.

  4. Tap AirDrop, then tap the device you want to transfer to.

If the other device doesn’t appear automatically, make sure AirDrop is turned on for both devices in Control Center (on an iPhone or iPad) or the Finder (on a Mac).

Note: If you want to send any project to your Mac for backup or to edit it in iMovie for Mac, or if you want to edit the project further on another compatible iPhone or iPad, you should send the project to iCloud Drive, or use AirDrop to quickly transfer files between devices. See the instructions for those methods, covered elsewhere in this topic.

The default resolution is based on the content of your movie or trailer. Choosing a resolution lower than 720p HD produces a smaller file that uploads to the web more quickly. Choosing a higher resolution produces a larger file that’s great for viewing on a Mac or on a high-definition television (HDTV) through Apple TV.

    • Choose a frame rate for the movie or trailer: Tap a frame rate.

Note: If you share a movie or trailer using the 1080p HD or 4K option and more than 50 percent of your project media is 1080p or 4K video at 60 frames per second (fps), you have the option to save your movie at 60 fps.

  3. Tap Save Video.

When the export is complete, the finished movie appears in the photo library. You can access the photo library from the Photos app on your device. The next time you connect your device to your computer, you can import the movie file into a photos app, such as Photos, on your computer.
