My best friend got me a Coach diaper bag for my shower. When she told me she wanted to buy me one she actually suggested I go to the store and let her know what I liked. I went to the Coach outlet and found one that was really cute and seemed practical. Come my shower that's not the one I got. I'm not trying to sound like a brat but i hate the one she got me. She ordered from their site and the design is ugly and the mulberry factory shop won't hold anything. The pockets on outside don't hold my bottles (using the Tommie tippee). Only pockets inside do. The bag itself though holds hardly nothing. It's really narrow. The ones I looked at was a 1/3 the price and bigger bag. I much rather use the money towards one of those and take the remaining and buy stuff I need. I don't need a bag that cost way to much but I know she will be so mad and offended. I even tried showing her how it holds nothing but she doesn't have kids and kind of clueless on that. I hate being a brat but not sure what to do.

I would thank her for the thought but just explain to her that it does not have enough compartments for your baby stuff and ask her if she would be offended if you exchanged it for a more practical one . You dont have to mention the money and that you plan on getting a less expensive one and using the rest of the money for other stuff, the store may just give you a merchandise credit for the balance anyway unless she paid cash for it. Any of my friends would want me to be honest with them and would want me to be happy with my gift. Well, at least until now.
