This bird was tagged by animal control around both ankles. That's maybe why he is not afraid, and even comfortable around humans. Tori san be careful of humans yo! and watch out for the crows and cats. I have never seen a bird of this color before.

good surf day at huntington beach

I got to the beach late but I found a good parking spot right away. Very warm 78 F. There were a lot of summer time beach goers even though it is still winter. The surf report said 3-5 feet, poor to fair conditions. But it was very good conditions with good peaks and long walls to ride. I duck dove 10 waves just to make it out. My last wave was an "in and out" barrel left. I knew I had time before my parking pass expired, but it was dark and I did not want to paddle through 5 or 6 big waves. It is still good now. These pictures are from a different day, but the same time of day.

Where's the water.

I noticed the resolution for web based photos is more grainy than traditional 8x10s. Resolution is 640 x 500 compared to 4890 x 3908 with 8x10 photos taken with my Panasonic digital camera.
