We have finished 3 days of English lessons for kids at Southern Cross in Beppu!
On the first day, the kids learned how to write their names, introduce themselves and say and write the alphabet! They really enjoyed playing alphabet bingo!
On the second day, they learned about phonics, recognized the small letters of the alphabet and played many games together!
On the last day, we challenged reading some words in English together and played flip-flop with the capital and small letters of the alphabet! At the end, everyone made a presentation about themselves. They did a great job! Everyone was so smart!!!
August is here and so are the Summer vacations for the kids. We have many events planned for this month and I would be happy if many people can participate.
We will hold the following: 8/7-9 English classes in cooperation with Southern Cross! 8/11 Summer party for the kids! 8/11 (night) Potluck party! 8/16 Summer school
We will post pictures and reports about them so keep an eye on our blog.
This week we had an excursion lesson with our students from 1st to 4th year of elementary school!!
First our first graders on Monday. The weather was great! We didn't walk a long distance but they were very exited and had a lot of fun!
Then our third grade student on Tuesday. She walked with me and wrote down not only 10... but 30 words!! She is a genius!
And our second graders, they were great. We walked a lot and they repeated every word they learnt in English!
Fourth graders did an excellent job! We were a bit worried that maybe we couldn't go out on Friday because the weather was very stormy, but we did it! It was fun!
