This book, “A Dog’s Life” is an autobiography of a dog.

The dog named Squirrel is the main character.
Her mother Stream gave birth to 5 puppies but only Squirrel and a boy puppy Bone survived.
Bone was a rough dog but he always helped Squirrel. They liked the shed they were born very much.

But sadly Squirrel had to live separated away from Bone.
She had lots of difficult things in her life.
If I was Squirrel I could not live long like her. I thought she was a very strong dog that lived by herself.

The most people in this story were cold people that don’t know anything about dogs.
But an old woman Susan loved Squirrel from her heart.
She was very kind not like the other people who didn’t know Squirrel’s mind.

I love dogs but this is a little sad story for me.
I want to take care of the dogs like Squirrel and I'll help to reduce stray dogs like her.

This book is an adventure story by Enid Blyton a British author.
The characters are a girl George and her cousin Anna, Julian, Dick and a dog Timmy.
These five characters are called the Famous Five.

These Famous Five series already have 21 books and this book is the 15th book.
The 1st book, “Five On A Treasure Island” was written in 1942.

This book, “Five On A Secret Trail” the dog Timmy hurts his ear and needs to put on a cardboard collar. But everyone that(who) saw Timmy laughed at him. So George got upset and went to a camp that nobody will laugh at Timmy. Then George and the 4 found an old cottage near their campsite and weird things happen at night.
The Famous Five searched together about the reason of these weird happenings.

I like the story because the five are very friendly and trust each other. I have some cousins but I can’t meet them frequently.
I think the five are very curious about the things that happen around them.
In this book the five seem like detectives.
I think it would be great if I could join them.
