Toiling away!

Look at this pocket. Isn't it beautiful? Just look at that fine stitching! Haha!!

Well, I can't show you the whole garment because I had to make it for the current theater production...I can only post pictures after the show has its official opening night which is next Wednesday. BUT, I can tell you what it is. It's a shawl....that went through many pattern and draping phases as the costume designer kept changing his mind.

Well, I'm happy to say it's finished and tonight was photocall so there will be official theater pictures soon enough.

Now I gotta pull an all nighter to finish this costume commission and gotta get started on a commission that came in this morning due in a few days. Yikes! I still gotta make my costume for next week's comic convention too.

Sometimes I feel like I'm living on the edge. Always sewing till the last possible moment.

Well, I better get back to sewing!

Since I'm short on time and words, here are some pictures from the last 2 days.








And I wonder why I can't lay down on my bed when I want to. The cats are all over it!

Tomorrow is photocall for the show and I have to finish up making a costume piece for the show.....and a commission. It will be an interesting feat.

The gown is done!

I finally finished the prom dress!!!
I had the final fitting and handed off the dress. Everyone I finish and hand off costumes or garments,  I feel like I'm losing a child or something...to work hard on something for a long time and when it's done, you have to let go.
But it's good though. I have to finish another costume commission in 2 days and ship it off. A fast turn around! As you can imagine, I am tired!

But here's some pictures of the headpiece that goes with the prom dress. I'll have official photos this weekend to share.



I love these shoes! I bought them on Sunday while doing some errands for the costume designer. They are comfy and feel like I'm walking barefoot.

Can't wait to wear them again!
