Training hard to become a superhero? Or to woo your crush? Or to just make your life a little bit better. Fitness is an important aspect of human life and as usual, the human mind is more interested in completing challenges than droning away all the time. So, I have compiled for you a list of challenges that every Tom, Dick, and Harry can try and succeed. If it is too easy, just ramp up the difficulty level! Consistent training needs discipline and motivation, to motivate ourselves, we can give rewards when we achieve our goal. Rewards may be of any kind, some of the examples are: workout accessories, motivational T-shirts and posters which will help you to continue your flow to carry out the training.
The Batman 30-day challenge
Right off the bat, I am going to admit I am a huge Batman fan. Watching the superhero fight his way without any superpowers was inspirational and I always wanted to be like him. Do you want to be too? Neil Arey brings this new challenge-workout combo which he dubs as the Batman 30-day Challenge. Day 1 starts with 4 pushups and 8 mountain climbers. Day 2 with a meagre 10 second plank and 8 squats. Add two pushups and 2 climbers for day 3 and similarly add 5 seconds and 2 squats for day 4. Every 5th day is a rest day. Day 30 should be a 24 push-up,36 climber day.
Ironman Triathlon
Another Superhero themed challenge? Nope. The Ironman triathlon challenge has been around since Robert Downey Jr. was just a 12-year old. Triathlon means a contest consisting of three different events; usually swimming, cycling and running. Ironman version of it requires you to swim for 2 km then cycle for 180 km and run a marathon of 42km. Ironman Triathlons are conducted across the globe by various nations. It requires utmost dedication and practice along with swimming and cycling abilities. I mean cycling for 180 km is no small feat

Diet Challenge
Everyone knows that the route to fitness is through your stomach. However, diet control (or the lack of it) tends to be one of the major issues for the inadequacy of fitness among the masses. This diet challenge aims to cut down your junk intake and replace it with healthy foodstuff. Basically you need to cut down on soda, sugary juices and drinks, fast and fried food, packaged sweets and snacks and fatty/processed meats. You should also limit your coffee intake to 1 cup per day and alcohol intake to 2 drinks per week. What you need to increase is naturally water (10 glasses per day at least) and 1 fruit and/or vegetable with every meal and snack. Also replace refined grains with whole grains.
The Seven
This is a CrossFit goal. It is regarded as one of the most challenging CrossFit exercise combo of all time. A round consists of seven handstand pushups, seven 135-pound thrusters, seven knee-to-elbows, seven 245-pound deadlifts, seven burpees, seven kettlebell swings and seven pull-ups. Seven rounds need to be completed to achieve this goal. One should aim to complete all 7 rounds in 40 minutes or less.
Salmon Ladder Challenge
Have you ever seen the American Ninja Warrior? Or maybe the TV show “Arrow”? Salmons which are spawned for commercial purposes have to leap over a series of barriers to reach their destination. This technique is used vertically to simulate the ladder effect in the Salmon Ladder. There are many strategies used to conquer the ladder like Switch Grip, Reverse Grip, Lock and Go etc. Make sure you have built your core strength first!
One Punch Man Challenge
100 Pushups! 100 Sit-ups! 100 Squats! 10 km running! Every Single Day! This workout, made famous by the anime “One Punch Man” has been go-to for workout enthusiasts and memes alike. Even though it quite doesn’t make you the world’s most powerful guy and an indestructible force, it does have good results as shown by many people who have tried it. Oh, do not forget bananas!
Super Randonneur
This is a pure cycling challenge. Randonneuing is a long-distance cycling sport. In this, the cyclist completes a course of 200 km (or more) within a stipulated time frame. Such a cyclist is called a Randonneur and this is a lifelong title for the person. He or she also receives a medal for his efforts. A Super Randonneur is a challenge where the cyclist has to complete 200km, 300km, 400km and 600km within one calendar year. Remember there is a time limit for each distance (e.g. 40 hours for 600km).
