Amsterdam & Brugge Tour on 13th/15th Sept. No1
I went to Amsterdam ( Netherlands) and Brugge(Belgium) on13th/15thSeptember2019.The Netherlands, also called Holland, is a country located in Northwestern Europe. It border Germany to the east, Belgium to the south, and the North Sea to the northwest. The official name of the country is Netherlands and it means the lower countries. Holland is a region and former province on the western coast of the Netherlands. The name Holland is also frequently used informally to refer to the whole of the country of the Netherlands. Dutch originally means Deutsch (Germany), adjective: relating to the Netherlands or it's people or their language. noun : 1, the language of the Netherlands. 2, the Dutch the people of the Netherlands collectively. In the Netherlands one-fourth of the territory is below the surface of the sea and people constructed dams across on the Amstel River in 13 century and built town. Hence the name. We left Victoria station at 9:30p.m. by train ,and we changed to a coach at Gatwick Airport. The coach went toward Amsterdam about all night. On the way at Dover we ferried crossed Straits of Dover. We arrived at a restaurant "La Place" in a suburbs of Amsterdam in the morning, and we had breakfast. At first I thought it costs (euro)4.75, so I picked up some items, but a cashier said it was (euro)9.25, Why? She said “ Only 6 items costs 4.75, but you have many items”. I looked at the price display again and I agreed, so I paid money. It was delicious, but a bit bitter. After breakfast we arrived at Amsterdam and we enjoyed canal boat trip to see all of the sights. The walking tour of the city from Central Station to Flower Market continued taking Dam Square and Amsterdam Museum. After the walking tour with the tour guide, we had a free hand in the afternoon, and we have to come back to the meeting point at 5:45p.m. to go to hotel. I decided to go to Rijksmuseum ( National Museum) and Van Gogh Museum. "Night Watch" of Rembrandt was being analyzed scientifically in detail, so we couldn't see the picture. There was a small copy instead of it. I was surprised that the museum has four works of Vermeer. I had short time to see Van Gogh Museum, so I want to go to there again. I left quickly the museum and went to the meeting point, but I couldn't remember the meeting point. I took pictures of the point and I asked several people, but they didn't know it. Eventually I couldn't be in time and I called Richard. He picked me up at 9 P.M. at the same place. After that I joined with evening tour to the famous Red Light District. There are a lot of women who wear sexy underwear in a show window. Many people crowded in there. It looked like a Japanese crowded train in Tokyo, so I sensed danger. In this area No camera without permission, so there is only two pictures.Sunday- BruggeAfter breakfast at the hotel we went to Dutch Cheese farm and saw a demonstration of clog making( Dutch shoes). We went into Belgium and visited Brugge. This town is called " A museum without the ceiling", so there are a lot of beautiful spots in this town, especially canal boat tour is very fantastic. I had a waffle of the birthplace in the afternoon. It was very sweet and I was happy. I had fish and chips for dinner on the ferry. This is half size, because regular size is too big to eat.
