ビリー・ジョエルが ’７６年にリリースしたアルバム 『 Ｔｕｒｎｓｔｉｌｅｓ 』 （ 邦題 ： ニューヨーク物語 ）
の収録曲で、 ビリーの傑作のひとつです （ 邦題 ： ニューヨークの想い ）。
ビリーは、 アルバムの制作に当たり、 デビュー当時の活動拠点だったロサンゼルスを離れ、 生まれ故郷の
ニューヨークに戻りました。 その頃の心境がこの曲の歌詞に反映されているようです。
大好きな歌なので （ ワタシ結構、 ビリー・ジョエル大好きやったのね・・・うっかり忘れてたよ ）
