You know these days where everything goes wrong? Today was such a day.
It all started when I arrived at work this morning and my computer wouldn't start. Two hours later our IT-boy told me that it is broken. Oh joy!
So I had to work without any data until late afternoon.
At noon I had to go to one of my construction sites to check if everything is fine. At first glance it was until I took a closer look at some walls they had just finished yesterday.
To make it short: They'd used the wrong bricks. Now I had the pleasure to tell the nice, cooperative construction crew that they had to break them down and do them correctly.
That of course went really good and they were all so happy to do it. Or not.
Well, in the end they had no choice but to do as I said. Yes, I've got the power! (^_^)v
This whole ordeal cost me about two hours and when I finally could go back to my office I ended in a traffic jam. At this point I was really thinking about going back home and into bed.
Okay, back at the office I just got out of my car when my boss came out of the building looking very distressed and aggravated. He spotted me and came almost running shouting that I should move it since the meeting starts in 20 minutes.
I had no idea what he was talking about since I didn't have any meetings scheduled for today.
Well, he forgot to tell me about this one, which was very unfortunate for me as I had no change of clothes with me and was wearing Chucks, jeans and a shirt that says "Chaos,Panic,Disaster! I think my work here is done!".
The perfect outfit for a very important meeting with possible clients that want to invest a lot of money. Oh, and please don't forget that I wasn't the last bit prepared.
My solution: I bribed our secretary (she is just as small as me)into switching clothes with me so I was now wearing a tight skirt, top and high-heels that made me 10 cm taller. (at least everything was black and not pink and frilly) (=⌒▽⌒=)
The meeting itself was quiet boring. All I had to do was explain to them schedules and other organizationally stuff. But we've got the deal even though I almost punched the assistant of the one guy who just starred at my chest the whole time. Hey, my eyes are up here!
My boss was in a good mood and I could finally go back to my desk and get some real work done. My computer was healed and I had lots of stuff to do.
For the next four hours nothing big went wrong and I could call it a day at 21:30.
When I parked my car in front of my building I was surprised to see the police here and asked one of the officers what they were doing here. He told me that there was a burglary in the apartment next to mine.
Does it make me a bad person for being glad that it wasn't mine?
Okay, and I don't really like my neighbor. He's 60-something and is loud and messy and he always nagging and he's just nasty.
Well, luckily I was allowed into my apartment and all I wanted to do was order something to eat (I hadn't eaten all day), take a shower, do a little housekeeping and go to bed.
Since you've read everything I wrote so far you can take a guess if it went as planned. (=⌒▽⌒=)
I ordered my food and was on my way to the shower when Sonya called to ask what all the ruckus in front of my building was about. Even though I told her everything was fine she insisted on coming over. So far so good.
I took my shower and just stepped out wrapped in a fluffy towel when someone rang my doorbell. Thinking it was Sonya I went to open it clad in my towel.
Of course it wasn't her but the delivery man with my food. He was a bit shocked. Well, me too. Just as the police officers and my dear neighbor who were all in the hall just outside my door. Lucky me.
I think I have never paid so fast and slammed the door into the poor guy's face. God, my face must have been as red as a tomato.
Sonya came 10 minutes later and just went home after eating half my dinner and making sure that I have enough weapons around and my door is bolted (sometimes she really acts like a mother!).
Now I'm launching on my couch with my iPod so that I don't have to listen to my neighbor's bitching and am typing this here before I'll head to bed.
Tomorrow I'll have to work but I can do that at home. So no office for two days!
Well, I'm off now, so all of you a nice Saturday morning!
Good Night! (^_^)v
