When I opened my laptop in my office, I found some e-mails from Justin. The mails urged me to respond to some requiries as soon as possible since these tasks relating to today's class.
After dealed with these emergencies, I attended the session on study abroad held by Office of Interanational Study Program (OISP). The session was singnificantly insightful for me especially in terms of obtainning the knowledge comprehensive procedures for studying abroad at Northeastern University, such as applicataion, scholarship, visa and security information. In the session, I talked with Vasiliki about the interview for my research topic which was appointed on the after day.
Afterward, I got back to office and made preparation for the freshman seminar of the day. I had to work on the tweet deck for the acitivities in the class, but unfortunatelly, the PC began its updating and I could not be on time the class since I had to wait the updating until it would be done.
In my prospectives, although it seemed to be easier to manage the class than usual, to introduce the method of application of twitter made it more arduous. After the class was over, Justin, me, and two peer instructors; Dora and Lucy argued on how we manage the class and what contents should be useful for freshmans. It was extreamely interesting for me to know that there were some differences on the ideas between the two peer instructors.
Again I went back to my office and tackled on the reflection and analyzing the survey result. Additionally, I had to worked on the itinerary of the delegation from my corporarion in Japan.
When the internship was done, I went the library to study French before the lunar new year's fesrivel held by international students associatio of China began. At the venue for festival, I met Helen and Lynn, who was the former peer instructor of out class. I was really looking forward to Chinese food such as dampling, baked noodle but it was not served yet. The association provide entertainment activities such as traditional theater by the dragons, popular rap song. Honestly, these entertaiments were in lack with consistent. Regarding the Chinese food, it was served almost in the end of festiveal and was so yummy.
I turned to the Japanese - English meeting up in Kenmore which held twice in a month, on the 1st and 3rd Thursday respectively. In the usual manner, I could have a stimulative opportunity to meet with somebody new to me.
In the meeting up of the day, I could build relationships with Chinese young lady who was highly fluent in Japanese and a young guy from Nagoya. It was also insightful for me to discuss the differencies of the way of thinking between Japanese and American with Japanese people had lived in the US over 10 years.
