Hi! Michiko here!!! - J1 Radio broadcasts Japanese popular music to a primarily English speaking audience with a focus on Japan/Tokyo, Singapore and the United States. If you are an artist or someone who is doing something with Japanese popular culture (music, fashion, food, fun) and you are comfortable speaking English, we are building up a pool of potential guests for a new live internet radio show and podcast due to start airing on J1 Radio in early 2012. I am surprised this blog is still up.

私の人生にはたくさんの出来事がありました。説明するには多すぎるほどです。

So much has happened in my life, too much to explain.

私はアメリカの放送規制の推進活動と、ローラーダービーや「バナナバール」などのスポーツの報道の両方に取り組んでいます。

I work both on promoting broadcast regulation in the US and on the coverage of sports like roller derby and Banana Ball.

4月に、私はラスベガスで開催されたNational Association of Broadcasters全米放送事業者協会（NAB）の大会に出席しました。

In April, I attended the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention in Las Vegas.

2019年、私は再び日本を訪れました。東京、富士山（河口湖）、函館、京都、奈良を訪れました。

In 2019, I did make another visit to Japan. Visited Tokyo, Mount Fuji (Kawaguchiko), Hakodate, Kyoto and Nara.

日本が恋しいです。

春よ！！！

Spring is finally here!! Here in Maryland it has been very cold. Other parts of the USA are still very cold right now. But it reached 90F/32C today here.. It was a very hot and humid day. I felt like I was back in Tokyo.

Currently, one US Dollar can exchange for about 100 yen! This is the best exchange rate in a long time. When I went to Tokyo in 2011, it was at 82.

I want to go to Tokyo this year. I work for an airline now so I can travel standby for a very inexpensive fare.

I am concerned about flying to Japan standby right now due to the uncertainty in the DPRK. If in the rare chance that hostilities take place in Korea, many people may be flying through Tokyo to evacuate the region. Any passenger who pays for an airline seat gets priority over me.

I would like to come to Tokyo in September or October.. Hopefully, before the rainy and cold season starts.

私は本当に新しいAKB48シングル「ギンガムチェック」が大好きです。それはファッションの好きなパターンです。
