Do they have wedding welcome boards in the states???
In Japan, it is customary to make a "welcome board" with the bride & groom's names and the wedding date.
If you look up "wedding welcome boards" on google, you can see that a lot of people make simple and classy ones and decorate it with flowers.
A lot of people also have their portraits drawn up (my cousin did this) and etc etc...
It is one of the first things that the guests see of your wedding.
It is a statement some couples go out of their way to make it personal and make sure that it represents themselves.
In regards to the wedding and reception, I am making all the calls...being a typical bride. lol
But Wrench always had a specific idea for what he wanted to do for the welcome board.
He wanted it to be something cool that we can put up in our home even after the wedding.
And being the good bride that I am *wink wink*, I agreed to Wrench's idea.
We looked for fonts and designs to use and went to buy the basis of what would become our welcome board.
We put together the design and have arranged to have one of Wrench's friends make it for us.
We still haven't taken everything to Wrench's friends place, but I am already excited about it!
More updates once we have the finished version in our hands... Which is most likely going to be the end of Feb or the beginning of Mar???
xoxo
