I have taught students both electric and acoustic guitar lessons, both in and my home teaching spaces as well as via Skype. I have found Skype Guitar Lessons are a fantastic way for students to learn to play the guitar, no matter where they are based in the world. It is so cool to meet people interested in improving their guitar playing ability and helping them to do so - especially through the internet as it is such a powerful tool in connecting people who might not be able to speak or meet in "real life".
Alongside teaching the guitar, I also help run an international music teacher community called mgrmusic.com - help students find the right music teachers for them, either in their location or online. As part of this website there are really active forums for music teachers to help support and provide advice to each other - especially when it comes to challenges that we all face as music teachers, for example, how to deal with lesson cancellations or where to find the best music resources for lessons.
I have really enjoyed my career teaching guitar so far and also have worked as an English teacher too. I will post more about this soon :)
