Well 2010 is now behind and its time to hit 2011 head first. My 2010 was a year of ups and downs. I was able to acquire two wonderful Kishu ken puppies that will be my super pig hunting pack, I was able to buy a gun that I have always wanted, my hunting truck broke down too any times, work kind of sucked with some of the political issues hindering things from happening, but overall I cant complain.

We got to hunt a good amount and killed a deer right before the season ended, I been having a great duck hunting season and Taro was abe to find his first large size boar on his own, although it got away from us. I was able to watch Kohaku utagassen for the first time in the US and one of my favorit groups made it on with one of my favorit songs.

Well I will end this for a new beginning and hope all is weel wih every one else.

About three weeks ago, my friend in Japan told me about a friend of his who had Kishu ken puppies and he wanted to know if I wanted a female pup. It was a no brainer for me and after begging my wife, I got the ok to get a Kishu ken puppy グッド!.

After I got off of work on December 8th, I drove as fast as I can to get my new pup from a friend in Riverside who also got a Shikoku pupy from Japan. When I picked herup it was like love at first sight!ラブラブ!

Afer I brought her home, the family took over with bunch of hugs and kisses for the pupy. She is now adjusting well and I hope one day she will be a good Shishi inu and catch many wildboars with my saki inu Taro.

Well I went out this morning after waking up late and bagged a smaller sized but decent 3X2 mule deer buck.

I got to the hunting area a little late (6:45 AM) and since it was already light, I started slowly walking down the trail toward a ridge where deer usually bed down. Well not even 100 yard from my truck, I spot a doe (female deer) and watch her as three more does and two small bucks come down from the ridge.

I watch the deer as the bucks began to fight so I started calling to the deer with rattling antlers and a grunt tube. All of a sudden a deer comes running toward my area and I see that he has atleased 3 points on one side (the hunting club only allows 3X2 or bigger).

I take my Remington model 700 and rest it in some rocks. I line up the scope behined the shoulder and fire........the deer is still standing there????? I chamber a new round and BOOOOM!! Where did the deer go??

I still see deer running around so I wait a few minutes. I walk over to where I shot the deer but I cant find any blood. I search for about 15 minutes and go back to where the buck was originally standing. I looke around and to my surprise, he is pileed up under a big pine tree.

Not the biggest deer but he should be really good eating!
