Houston based Asset Campus Housing will place a 186 unit complex featuring apartments and townhomes about a mile from Baylor University on University Parks Drive. It will target students with a plan to have "individual leases" that will allow them to pay rent only on each bed used.
Construction will begin soon and a leasing center will open this summer for the complex that could be available in fall of 2015.
Every apartment will come fully furnished with hardwood style floors, granite countertops, flat screen TV sets, stainless steel Black Men's Teddy Bridgewater Limited 3X Jersey appliances and private baths.
"We know the Waco community well and are confident that with the addition of The Domain at Waco, we will continue to offer Baylor University students a highly desirable community with an environment that will contribute to their success," said Mike McGrath, CEO of Asset Campus Housing, in a prepared statement.
Barrett Kirk, senior vice president of development at Asset Campus Housing, said the company manages other properties in Waco and is familiar with market demands.

He said the fact Baylor is investing $260 million to build McLane Stadium on the banks of Lake Brazos at Interstate 35 "didn't hurt in making our decision."

At 186 units, the complex will feature 564 beds spread over the apartments and townhouses.
Features of The Domain at Waco will include an 11,000 square foot clubhouse; a resort style pool; Black Men's Teddy Bridgewater Limited 2X Jersey an Internet caf; outdoor fire pit; and a pro style sand volleyball court.
Other highlights are a poolside lounge area with hammocks; video gaming center; sports field; tanning and fitness centers; and 24 hour gym.
