I moved to Japan - 僕は日本に引っ越しました

I finally moved back to in the last week of January 2025. My wife and I successfully got our spouse visa. We moved into an apartment and have been buying many items and furniture for our new place. It is all very exciting. My wife's parents and my parents have all been very supportive. I get on very well with my wife's mum and dad which makes me very happy. 

僕は2025年1月の最後の週にようやく戻ってきました。妻と僕は無事に配偶者ビザを取得しました。私たちはアパートに引っ越し、新しい場所のために多くのアイテムや家具を購入しています。すべてがとてもワクワクします。妻の両親と僕の両親は皆とてもサポートしてくれています。僕は妻の母と父ととても仲が良く、それが僕をとても幸せにしています。

I have started looking for jobs. Although I am a qualified special educational needs teacher I think my best chances of a job are an English Language teaching job. Not the most exciting job in the world, but it will be a start.

僕は仕事を探し始めました。特別支援教育の資格を持っていますが、英語教育の仕事が最も良いチャンスだと思います。世界で最も刺激的な仕事ではありませんが、始まりにはなります。

I also started a YouTube channel to document my experiences. I think it will be a good way to express myself and maybe turn it into a fun hobby. I have already enjoyed learning how to edit videos.

  Ishikawa Snow - 石川県の雪

The snow here has been awesome! I have not seen snow like this before! Growing up in the UK I didn't really get a lot of snow. Especially since I came from a coastal town the seaside air melted the snow very quickly. Not only that, but the snow was often very icy. The snow here in Ishikawa is very soft and I love the crunchy sound when I walk in it.

ここでの雪は素晴らしいです！こんな雪は見たことがありません！イギリスで育った僕は、あまり雪を見ませんでした。特に海岸の町から来たので、海の空気が雪をすぐに溶かしてしまいました。それだけでなく、雪はしばしばとても氷のようでした。石川県の雪はとても柔らかく、歩くときのカリカリという音が大好きです。

I also enjoyed shoveling the snow. That was something I had never done before. I imagine most people hate having to do that, but it didn't bother me at all. Maybe after a few years of doing snow shoveling my feelings towards it will change. However, I got to admit, it was a great form of exercise.

僕も雪かきを楽しみました。それは僕が今までやったことのないことでした。ほとんどの人はそれをやるのが嫌だと思うでしょうが、僕には全く気になりませんでした。数年雪かきをした後、僕の気持ちが変わるかもしれません。しかし、認めざるを得ませんが、それは素晴らしい運動の形でした。
