The Subaru Hybrid Toure Concept is one of the vehicles scheduled to go on display at the 2009 Motor Show.

Powering the Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept is a hybrid drivetrain which uses a 2.0 litre, turbocharged, horizontally-opposed boxer engine for the majority of the power. Backing this up are a pair of electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear. The electric motor at the front is located between the engine ant the CVT transmission.

ドライブトレインはハイブリッド車で水平対向２Lターボエンジンが大部分のパワーソースとなります。それをバックアップする形で前後に各一つ付いてます。前のモーターはエンジンとCVTトランスミッションの間に付いてます。

At start-up and extremely low speeds when fuel efficiency is low, such as when driving the car into a garage, te rear motor is used primarily to allow driving without utilizing the power of the engine. During acceleration, the rear motor assists the engine to improve performance. Further, when accelerating uphill, the front motor, which is normally used as a power generator, assists to drive the front axle. The integration of a start-stop technology for the engine reduces unneccessary fuel consumption further.

走りだす時や駐車場に入れる時の様な遅いスピードでは、エンジンは止まりリアモーターのみが働きます。通常走行ではリアモーターがエンジンの補助をしてパフォーマンスを向上させます。坂道を登る時は通常はジェネレーター等して役割をしているフロントモーターが作動し前輪を駆動させアシストします。ストップ・アンド・ゴーの技術が無駄なガソリンの使用を抑えます。

The interior of the Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept is accessed through full-length gullwing dors. Inside are four individual leather upholstered seats with a unique ventilation function for improved comfort. A flat floor at the rear was achieved - even with the AWD layout - to improve rear passenger spaｃe.

フルレングスのガルウイングドアーの中の室内ですが、革張り独立シートが独自のレイアウトで設置され乗り心地を向上させています。AWDにも拘わらずリアーはフラットフロアーになっており十分なスペースが確保されています。
