The 2009 Tokyo Motor Show is set to host the official unveiling of the Honda Skydeck Concept, a specious six-seater with a hybrid drivetrain.

2009年東京モーターショーでゆったりとした６人乗りのハイブリッド車のホンダ・スカイデッキ・コンセプトが発表されます。

The Skydeck is currently just a design study which is being used to show off another potential production vehicle equiped with Honda's IMA technology. IMA satnds for "Integrated Motor Assist", and is besically Honda's name for their hybrid drive systems. Te drivetrain in the Skydeck is a parallel hybrid system in which the internal combustion engine is the main power source, and an electric motor provides additional assistance to improve performance and reduce fuel consumption.

スカイデッキは今のところ他の車種でも試されているIMAシステムに関し研究目的で作られたコンセプトカーです。　IMAはIntehrated Motor Assistの略で、基本的にはホンダのハイブリッドシステムの名前です。ドライブトレインは併用されるガソリンエンジンがメインのパワーソースで、電気モーターは補助的がパワーを追加される事により、馬力をアップさせると共に、燃費向上を図ります。

The lines and proportions look very production feasible, and aside from the front scissor-doors the design could be carried through to production with minimal changes - if Honda choose to make it.

ラインや形は生産車に近い感じがします。フロントシーザードアーは別として、最低限の変更に抑えつつこのまま生産車になり得そうです・・・・もしホンダが生産すればですが。

オデッセイの後続車と言う感じもしますね。
