あけましておめでとうございます！！
新年初日記になります、Azusaです＾＾
皆様、今年もMaple English Clubをよろしくお願いしますm(__ __)m
ここでひとつ、年越しと新年のお祝いに関する気づいたことを書いてみようと思います♪
欧米諸国では、大晦日を家族や友人と盛大に祝い、
元日はゆっくりする、あるいは何もしないという人が多いらしいのです。
日本人は、どちらかといえば大晦日も元日もお祝いムードが漂っていますよね＾＾
家族や親戚と過ごし、みんなで行事食を食べ、神社にお参りに行く・・・。
この日本のお正月の雰囲気は、欧米のクリスマスを祝う雰囲気とどこか似ているなと思いました！！
たとえ行事が違っても、家族や親戚たちと集まってお祝いできるということはよいものですね＊＾＾＊
皆さんは、どんな風に新年を祝いましたか？
この一年が、皆様にとってすばらしいものとなるようお祈りしています＾＾

We had a wonderful Christmas Party at Maple English Club.
Many of the students didn"t know each other so we all wrote down
information about ourselves and then took turns reading other peoples
information. We had to guess which information matched what person.
Sometimes it was obvious sometimes difficult to guess.
We all bought gifts to exchange with each other. We call it Secret Santa.
Everyone gets a gift from someone but we don't who bought what gift.
Of course there was a lot of eating, drinking, and even dancing.
Actually I had a hangover the next morning.
In America if you have a hangover the next morning after a party, it means it was a good party 
.

Exchange gifts= To give and receive presents
take (took) turns= Everyone has a chance to do something.
Obvious= Easy to see,guess,...
Hangover= To feel sick and tired the morning after you drink alcohol.
お集まりくださった皆様ありがとうございました。お酒もいっぱいのんでしまいましたね、
日本語と英語もたくさん話しました、５時から始まったパーティは延々と11時まで続いてしまい（ものすごく時間オーバーでした）
こんなに長い時間たくさんの英語に触れていた時は初めてとおっしゃっていた生徒さんもいましたよ。
皆さん最後までお付き合いいただいてありがとうございました。
とっても楽しく、賑やかなパーティでした。
