For the past few years, on my birthday I write a letter to myself to be opened on my next birthday. It's always lovely to receive a beautiful message from Lucrecia of the past, and write one for Lucrecia of the future. It took me time to find my letter from last year, I always seem to misplace them, but I did find it! And this is what it said:
"Dear heart,
Happy Birthday Princess, I hope the journey from 25 to 26 was okay. I hope to the Gods you found the happiness and love you deserve. I hope you are where you want to be in life, or at least I hope your dreams are within sight. Right now you're caught and tangled, but nothing you can't untangle. You are beautiful and so intelligent, so magical and powerful. Your birthday is a special day, a day to be celebrated, you deserve to be celebrated. Never forget your worth, your abilities. Sweet Changeling child from 'neath the faery hill, if anyone deserves life, it is you."
Such a beautiful and sacred message, and I did find the true love and wonderful relationship I deserve, I made a huge step towards achieving my dreams, I think past Lucrecia would be proud, and today I will write a letter for future Lucrecia.
I think that this practice is beautiful and lovely, and I encourage you to try it. It's something I learned to do from my Mother.
