Well, I haven't done this blogging thing for quite some time...
I am still very excited to see how the Japanese pop culture has flourished in past 5 6 years.
The racial origin of "talents" are becoming more blurred; meaning that "half" thing is pretty much part of every day life in Japanese TV world. From that Becky girl to the ever charming and my favorite, Leira girl on morning show, things are a lot more accepted nowadays...
I remember when I was a young child things were a lot harder for international kids like us.
Anyway, those are my thoughts of the day.
so, has been a while...
Leah Dizon is no longer a phenomenon but is part of the every-day Japanese pop culture.
I had no doubts that she would get big in Japan, but never thought that became part of the mainstream culture so fast.
Japanese use the word "Talent" as the general term to describe anyone in TV entertainment industry, but I must say she is truly a "Talent" in so many ways.
It is not easy to adapt any culture, but she has to do that in front of the public. NOt a easy task, I must say...
One thing that impressed me the most is that her reactions to things are somewhat artificial (you know, when she laughs, she puts her hand in front of her mouth and stuff...) sometimes, but over all she figured the "Proper" way of doing things as a Japanese girl.
Well, still amazing...
