My mom called and told me that my dad was going to give me my birthday money later (Chinese don't believe in giving presents). And I told her to tell him not to worry about it, I am doing okay and still financially sustainable. If I am not, I will haul my lazy ass out and find a job.

As far as birthday wishes, I only made one, but with multiple parts. Since they said I am not supposed to tell other people, I can't spell it out here.

I had a bad dream last night which haunted me; somebody told me that I should brush up my English grammar. It was creepy, but maybe I will. Unconscious messages, six senses, self-doubts, insecurities are your friends if not overly indulged in.

self!

Last year I didn't even receive a phone call from my parents. Maybe it is a sign that I've lived for too long. Usually it begins with other people not remembering it, and eventually one's self will lose count, too.

Anyhow, I bought myself some cakes and cooked a good meal, which I hadn't had for a while, and be content.

It happens that my blog appears on the first result page if you search for S.K.I,N. Therefore, to not disappoint those of you who happen to come across here, here's some pictures related to it.

A snapshot of the line. This is a very bad representation of the actual line. There were more people and sunnier and hotter than it seemed.

Something funny I saw while waiting in line. Has nothing to do with the concert whatsoever.

Inside the arena. Very small indeed compared to the scale of any x-japan concerts. Anyhow, AX is only an anime convention, so get over it. But I hope yoshiki san is not disappointed.

Still inside the arena, a snapshot of the stage with two side screens.

Merchandise:

T-shirt: $35. Made in USA, next time make it in China so it will be cheaper. $35 for a T-shirt was ridiculous.

Wristband: $10. Not too bad, though the BECK wristband was $5.

Pin: $1. Alright, this is cheap.

I am lazy that's why.

I spent my last weekend in Nevada for the rocket launch. The whole thing was held over a dry lake bed. It was hot and dry beyond belief, above 40 degree celsius around noon, and I drank water like I've never drunk water before. By the end of the day, we were all covered in sand that the original colors of our clothes were almost unrecognizable. During the day, it was a living hell over there but wonderful at night. Since there was no light pollution, we could actually see the milkyway. I really regretted not bringing my telescope with me. I might upload some pictures if I care enough. After the launch we drove a little short of 30 minutes to Vegas and chilled for two hours. I gambled. For $1. At Wynn. Vegas was busy on Saturday nights, possibly the only place in the States that you will see so many people out on the street at the same time, maybe besides the New York Times Square during countdown.

Basically, the whole trip was not physically pleasant, but mentally satisfying, besides some little inevitable human conflicts. Scratch that last part, it's off record.
