I had a nice weekend. On Saturday we went to our friend’s daughter’s birthday and after that we went shopping for a washing machine. We bought a Bosch front-load washing machine. It’s supposed to be the most reliable washing machine. As PC and I both work, we cannot get it delivered during the week and next weekend we are going to another birthday party, so it’s arranged to be delivered in two weeks. I am really looking forward to using it.

On Sunday we went to see a movie, and today we went to a museum to see an exhibition of Pablo Picasso and his personal art collection. We had to wait over 30 minutes to get the tix, but it was quite interesting.

It doesn’t feel like I just had a long weekend. Well, I guess it’s never long enough…

Today PC and I went to see the Sex and the City movie. At first I was not going to see it at the cinemas and wait till the DVD came out. But on Friday, some of my colleagues were talking about how great it was, so I decided to go to see. It was good, I liked Charlotte most in the movie, she was funny. But it felt a little bit slow and 2.5 hours was too long, and it was also almost predictable from the preview and leaks. I liked the series, but I think it could’ve been funnier and better.

PC and I didn’t ignore our house on the weekend. One of the doors was left unpainted by the previous owners. When we bought this house, most of the rooms had been renovated, but this one door was left behind. Apparently, the previous owners had three kids under 6 years old and did not have time.

Anyway, after almost 2 years, we decided to stain the door. We went to a warehouse to pick up supplies, and chose antique cherry interior wood stain. When we got home, we removed the door from the hinge, and PC sanded it. We then stained it together. It was fun actually. We only did one side of the door – and will get the other side done next week. Because of the wet cool weather it took a while for the stain to dry.
