Aiming for a full marathon (and having probably never run more than 2km until October), I completed a 10km in London in February, a half marathon in Lisbon in March, culminating in that final METRO Marathon in Duesseldorf in Germany... The time? who cares... COMPLETED! is all I will say about this...
After a few months of rest and contemplating what to do following these new achievements, I have decided to keep it up (partly because I couldn't get myself to reduce my appetite again)...
Although I am not aiming for a full marathon anytime soon (I am part of the Tokyo marathon ballot but that one has a less than 10% chance), I will be running up to three half marathons this fall!
AND adding to the whole European running experience... I am running one of those for charity... Namely Asthma UK
I never really got the concept... Why would anyone give me money for me just doing my hobby?? Well, I'm still not entirely sure about it, but I've definitely chosen a good cause for it that is close to my heart/life as well...
I was almost tempted to run as 'Puff the Asthma Dragon'

but this may be left for the next year...
