Over the weekend,?Penny Hardaway?was spotted at his alma mater where the Memphis Madness event kicked off big-time college basketball in southwest Tennessee. ?Penny was on hand to judge the Tigers’ slam dunk contest, but it’s likely that more jaws dropped around the world when Hardaway tweeted an image of the footwear he wore to the FedEx Forum. NCAA March Madness just kicked off (and we’ll keep you updated with a great ‘Feet’ feature), but the NBA had some entertaining games and even better sneakers on court! Starting off with Air Jordans – Dwyane Wade brought the ‘Last Shot’ back to Chicago, Gerald Green raised his stock with the Air Jordan XI ‘Concord’, and Shannon Brown scorched the opponents with the Air Jordan VII ‘Bordeaux’. The ‘new-look’ Knicks slaughtered the Blazers with Carmelo wearing the ‘Syracuse’ colorway of the Jordan Melo M8, LeBron James showed off his Red/Black PE again, and Ty Lawson rocked the ‘Cool Grey’ LeBron 9.

Following our recent preview of the 2013 Air Jordan 1 Retro packaging is yet another look ahead in the same vein, this one showing off what the Air Jordan V’s box will look like for next year. The box features a cement style speckling on the bottom half with the black box-lid that folds up just like the original boxes used in originals. The similarities end there, as the Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke ‘Lux Bison’ features a wide array of luxurious materials, like patent leather, croc-skin leather, and suede to construct the upper, which is a stark contrast to the full suede used in the SB Dunk version. Continue reading for a detailed look at this ‘Lux Bison’ Bespoke and let us know what you think. It’s only been a few months since Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade unveiled his ‘Way of Wade’ label under Chinese brand Li-Ning. Since then, Wade has done quite a job in regards to promoting his own kicks by rotating a rather impressive set of colorways of his Way of Wade signature.

Nike’s new collection of Flyknit-built footwear has proven itself as one of the most coveted sneaker releases of the year, but we’re finally getting a look at the revolutionary Flyknit in action in the Olympics very soon. Here’s a look at the 3.9 oz. We don’t see new kicks from Lacoste every day on Sneaker News, but their influence can be felt quite a bit more frequently. ?The Crocodile brand has a?sailing heritage?as deeply ingrained in the company’s DNA as popped polo collars, and the Lacoste Barbuda isn’t a skate or casual sneaker imitating a deck shoe; it is a traditional vulc-soled docksider. The Air Jordan V “Fire Red” will release tomorrow, August 31st. The shoes feature a decent amount more of that titular color than the similarly flavored Air Jordan V from earlier in the year thanks to the flipped around blocking that hits across the midsole.
