Waterville man indicted on charges of dealing crack


AUGUSTA, Maine A Waterville man was indicted Friday by a Kennebec County grand jury on three Class A drug charges.


Indictments were returned against 40 people, including three indictments for felony aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs against Nathan L. Liberty.


On Oct. 9, Liberty was arrested after a short pursuit when Waterville police attempted to apprehend him because of numerous warrants, according to Waterville Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey.


When police showed up at his residence, Liberty fled on a bicycle down Elm Street, onto Winter Street and Pleasant Street, where an officer stopped and arrested him.


His arrest came after a two month investigation into allegations that he was dealing crack cocaine Cheap Jerseys and heroin from his Elm Street residence in Wholesale NFL Jerseys Waterville, according to Rumsey.


Liberty faces up to 30 years in prison for each Class A felony charge, and a maximum fine of $50,000.
