Hightlights 2013 - Lindner Congress Hotel ★★★★

Welcome to the Lindner Congress Hotel in Düsseldorf !


I stayed at the Lindner Congress Hotel in August 2013 for some reasons of research and of course because I was still searching for a place to stay in Düsseldorf
(Back then I thought I'd study Computer Science in Düsseldorf, gladly I chose to study in Cologne by last second)

Here is my impression

" This hotel offers large rooms, rental bikes and a gym. It is a 10-minute drive from Düsseldorf’s airport and trade fair, and a direct underground ride from Düsseldorf Central Station.

The rooms at the 4-star Lindner Congress Hotel Düsseldorf are at least 30 m² in size. All rooms include a minibar and safe, and some rooms have a balcony.

Lindner Suite

The windows are darkened, you'll feel somewhat less observed when coming in as people from the outside can't really see you walking in there.

reflecting the lights, makes the whole place appear more bright and elegant

 So here we are at my room
I didn't book a first-class room as I was actually planning tojust stay at some standard room... I didn't plan to spend much time in my hotel room so it was senseless to actually book first class, however, as I arrived, they told me they upgraded me ... I didn't mind though

It's actually quite big, enough space, I just couldn't decide where to sit and rest. So many possibilities.

Not the coffee I drink, not the tea I prefer but it's nice anyway
I'm very picky about these things 

 Stuff all your clothes in here 
There's lots of space. I just stuffed my whole suitcase in there 
Didn't bother to unpack things 'cause I'm a lazy bastard 

 Additional Towel, Pillow 

 Oh yeah, I do enjoy this
Well, actually I was quite shocked about their people cleaning my stuff 
I left the hotel in the morning, all messy, clothes on the floor,
bed undone, bathroom untidy, my hair straightener was still lying on the floor,
money spread on the floor, etc...

I didn't expect to return home in the evening, it was around 22:00, finding my room has been cleaned and everything was back in place.
My bed was perfectly done, my bathroom, the towels and bathrobe were in place, my hair straightener was on a table, the wire wrapped around the straightener carefully, clothes folded, money put on the desk, nothing missed, ...
IT WAS PERFECTLY TIDIED UP 
I felt somewhat sorry but I was impressed as well 

 Just you know...
In case you have brought someone to the hotel room or.... invited your neighbours to your little private party -cough-

Nah, we all know this is for busy people who are working so hard, they don't want to be disturbed ... it's all a matter of concentration, heh 

 Marble Bath Everything
It was very clean

The bath was very pretty 

 I guarantee,
I am capable of leaving any bathroom messy 

 You can't just NOT use the fabulous bath tube!
At least I can't

As colorful as a child's bath tube but I enjoyed it very much

You need to know that the Lindner Congress Hotel Düsseldorf in Niederkassel
On the other side of the Rhine, approx. 30mins away from Düsseldorf's Central Station is one of many Hotels in that area.
They are ★★★★s or above Hotels, mainly booked by business people, 
the area is still under construction so the view isn't too pretty 
It's also better to have someone driving you there if you're booking for the first time because it's not very easy to find ... There are many cabs around though

All in all, I've been very satisfied with the service at the Lindner Congress Hotel. Staff was nice, people were polite, food was good, I can't complain.
I even received a Merry Christmas Message by their manager a few days ago.
How lovely 
I've been spending nights at ★★★★★s Hotels before so for me it was somewhat noticable why it's a 4★ and not 5★ Hotel.
But since I didn't expect to come here anyways and I don't really have too high expectations in situations like these, I could really enjoy my stay.
As long as things are tidy and clean, I'm fine with it

Highlights of 2013 - With Sasa

A few weeks ago a good friend of mine who is living in Essen came to Düsseldorf 
And because he loves food just as much as I do, 
we decided to go for some japanese food 

 Side dishes 
I'm a huge fan of Naniwa but because I wanted to try out something differently, 
we decided to go to Takumi for a change 

 Sasa's Side-dish
We both ordered Ramen-Sets so we had some nice side dishes as well 
I don't remember any of the names anymore tho 

 Teriyaki Chicken 
I love Teriyaki Chicken, I could eat t all day 
Go away with your Mayo-Stuff tho  
I like Mayo but not along with my teriyaki chicken, ew

As I said, I don't remember the names but I know it's a soy bean paste base not shoyu or shiro because I aways prefer soy bean paste

At Tenten
We wanted to go for some desserts afterwards but Relax was closed for some reasons so we went to Tenten instead 
(where I needed half an eternity to decide what to order )

Though I needed so long to decide what to order and I was so sure I'd be satisfied with my choice, I was still somewhat jealous when I saw his awesome Hot Chocolate, hahaha

クリスマス - Christmas

Hello Everybody! 

Long time no see  
I'm sorry for being an lazy ass when it comes to updating my blog
It has always been this way...

Today I am just going to share some pictures from christmas 
Though on the papers I'm actually catholic and stuff,
I'm not very religious 
Christmas for me isn't necessarily a religious thing 
I celebrate it because I think it's somewhat a nice thing to do and the atmosphere is nice and cozy, it's an occasion for family members to gather together..or something
Other than that, Christmas isn't of any importance to me,  heh



Christmas Eve
I like candles because they are warm and they calm me down
I like cinnamon scented candles or just anything that is christmas-sy

Gifts
We are a 5-Members-Family so there are quite a few things under the christmas-tree each year...

However I am only going to share my favorite presents today...below.

I love coming home because my mum always cooks for me...
I really like that german-food-stuff. Or just...potatoes in general. Everything that has to do something with potatoes... I will eat it all.. unless it's fries. I don't like fries too much

We didn't cook anything too special though.
It was still good ...

A meal is not complete without a fancy glass of red wine...
Somehow...I can't avoid alcohol these days
My siblings are still too young to actually drink alcohol so they drank soda...

This one is from my sister...She asked me what I wished for so I knew what was going to be in there but still, I just freaked out when I finally had it in my hands...

Was given to me by Sasa who SURPRISINGLY CAME TO THE TRAINSTATION IN ESSEN TO SEE ME OFF!!!!
I dunno, I'm kinda lame so I didn't think of the possibility that he'd come to see me when he actually asked me when I will stop by Essen.

I arrived there completely hungover, looking like shit because I couldn't be botheres to get ready properly as I thought I was only jumping onto the train back home...
The night before I drove home to visit my parents, I've been lingering around in cologne, drunk as always,
so when I went back to düsseldorf to get my stuff, I just kinda ... didn't care about my looks anymore. So.. a big sorry for being a lame ass, heh. 

Also, I kinda jumped out of the train, not even seeing him waiting there so when he actually stood behind me, I ..kinda freaked out.... a bit? 
Paralyzed as he said: "Don't be frightened.."

My lame brain slowly tried to recognize the voice that was talking to be as I sloooowly turned around. 
Oh yeah, I just really appreciated someone was actually stopping by the train station to say Good Bye to me. And as if that wasn't enough, he even had a present for me, wtf.

I went so much more WTF when I actually opened the present on Christmas, as I didn't expect anything like this !!! 
HE TRULY KNOWS HOW TO MAKE A FG HAPPY !!!!

 Le me with the favorite CDs on planet earth
Holy shit, I know nobody will understand but I just really love these two CDs
They made my christmas so perfect  
Also,  my favorite person at Uni randomly called me  which was kinda the icing on the cake  

I love you, people 



This years' Christmas felt somewhat different than usual which is probably because I moved out and came back for christmas and winter vacation, etc.
It feels nice to be home
