If your are looking for a place to relax, chat with friend, enjoy the
virtual sights and sounds of nature, then head over to The Second
Life Botanical Garden.
The SL Botanical Gardens are a creation of over ten Second Life
artists, who present virtual beauty in nearly five hundred prims on
the island. Creators such as Isablan Neva, Rose Karuna and Luna
Bliss have spent nearly three years creating an oasis for all Second
Life residents.
Second Life Botanical Gardens truly is a virtual oasis. There is a lot
to take in and I suggest coming back a little each day to take in the
wonders. Though flying is enabled on the island, the sights and
sounds are best enjoyed if you actually walk through the tulips and
other landscaping wonders.
What are some of my favorite places at the Second Life Botanical
Gardens? If you are looking for a place to relax and chat with friends
then head over to the green house, where French café style tables
have been set out. You and your friends can enjoy the breathtaking
waterfall and spend time together.
If solitude and peace is what you are seeking, then hike to the
mountain top where Second Life residents can receive insight from
the talking Buddha, meditate on their life, enjoy the snow and
mountaintop view.
Viva Second Life I say! There are several locations where lovers
can find a hide away and spend quality time together. The balcony
at Sunset Cliff offers a wonderful view of the, well, sunset. Couples
can lounge at the lagoon and enjoy the sights and sounds of rainfall
and waterfalls.
What is the inspiration of Second Life Botanical Gardens? It could
be business related. Sky Dreams and Spa-Licious both live over
the Sim at 420m. It also could be a celebration of Carolus Linnaeus.
Carolus Linnaeus was a Swedish botanist, physician and zoologist.
Also known to be the father of modern taxonomy and a history maker
in ecology. Carolus Linnaeus inspired many writers like myself.
