A Rough Day On The Runway
On this week episode of Project Runway on Lifetime, the nine remaining designers were challenged to create a look that embodied the concept of celine bag American sportswear.They were asked to use style and historical icon Jackie Kennedy as their inspiration while simultaneously staying true to their own design aesthetic.
The twist was that halfway through the challenge the designers were asked to make an outerwear piece to complement their looks.
Some designers excelled at this challenge. Mondo look for example, was beautiful. That probably why he was the challenge winner. Christopher Collins also got some well deserved praise from the judges Heidi Klum, Michael Kors, Nina Garcia, and guest judge, actress January Jones on his lovely dress (despite his hideous outerwear shrug).
The judges thought Valerie look was boring the record I agree, but she was safe this week. The eliminated designer was Michael Drummond, even though Andy South design was much worse this week. But it was Michael Drummond hideous and illfitting skirt that sealed his fated. It was in the immortal words of Tim Gunn his designers remain: Gretchen, Mondo, Christopher, April, Valerie, Ivy, Michael Costello, and Andy South.
