I always carry my bag of essential oils with me everywhere I go. It came in very handy this past weekend hiking in the Sequoias. I love it up there-very calm, peaceful, and beautiful! On the flip-side, being in nature comes with critters which I'm not very fond of. I saw a few rattlesnakes which scared me to death!
As for the flying critters-anything from gnats to mosquitos this is what I used:

I only got bit once so I must have missed a spot!
