My coworkers and I went to view the "Tattoos in Japanese Prints" exhibit at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco a few weeks ago. I definitely am a procrastinator and am just now writing about this.
I was able to finally (theres that procrastination again) put a coord together for my Tiara Rose jsk (Angelic Pretty, May 2009). It's a print that I've loved ever since it came out, but it took me ten years to own it- I finally bought it used and broken in from lace market.
JSK, Beret, Socks: Angelic Pretty
Blouse, Headbow, Underthings: Baby the Stars Shine Bright
Shoes: An*Tai*Na
Not a problem, because it's a beautiful something that I can wear casually, and more care-free. That adds to happiness.
Though bathroom pictures are so tacky (+ you can rarely ever see the bottom half of the outfit!), I can't help but to take them. We can probably expect bathroom pictures more often than not. I really do appreciate seeing specific dresses in the most normal and casual of situations, though, so here's for the realists.
How did people treat me on this particular day? All interactions were positive. The San Franciscans on the street, if they said anything, all mentioned ~me~ being like a 'doll'. As much as I'd like to seem eretheral, all I can do is thank the clothes もちろん。
From the Asian Art Museum, we walked over to Japantown on Post and Geary so I could do some shopping at my personal favorite brand luckily BABYthe stars shine bright.
And that's just how we do it.
As usual, I can't leave without buying. I was raised as a millennial american consumer, so it's something I'm working on, ok?
I've never had the patience to learn proper folding and reaaallllyyy taking care when it comes to organization (i'm an enfp total mess). I appreciate the efforts of the btssb team when it comes to preparing and packaging the clothes. It all really adds to the aura of the garments themselves.
This particular purchase was small, but we being lolita wearers, we know that this 'small' package can be a world all in its own, and is something to be celebrated. The ideas and images this brand brings gives me such joy that even the postcard, the sticker and the bag feel like they're worth their weight in gold. I'm not gonna lie, but I've reused the gift wrap paper before, and it looked marvelous, so..
This postcard is featuring the super adorable I Want To Be a Strawberry Usakumya pouchette, and I put this up on the side of the wall in my closet as decoration, but really because I want to look at it every day and bring it to me by manifestation. Ya hear me, universe? Bring me this ever so shallow but worthy wish.
Cute red and white "Sweet Dot" OTKs, I want to work on my pattern matching and mismatching, so lets hope for use of these in the near future.

"Sweetie Gingham Border Jumperskirt I" sounds more like a still life oil practice painting, but the JSK is a beautiful summer addition. Cotton dress without an underskirt or built-in petti (boo), it's meant to be nice enough for a social outing, cute with berries and gingham southern girlishness, but elegance tied (literally) connecting them and pink roses.
Colors are Red, Cream, Green, Pink, Black - So there's plenty to work with as far as coordinating goes. And at a 100cm bust, I can breathe!
