Day 10 in Panmunjeom.

I did it-- I crossed the border and stepped into North Korea-- Well, half serious and half a joak.

We went to a Panmunjeom 板門店 tour,
and went to the Demilitarized zone between North and South Korea. We went through strict checks and went right before the border. Actually, we could go beyond the border inside a building that’s managed by both sides.

The guards standing right in front of the Military Demarcation line stood still like a rock.
They stand for two hours in that position and some are stepping one leg outside of the wall. That was because they would be able to hide/attack whenever anything happens. The sunglasses they wear are to avoid getting into trouble with staring at each other(with north korea).

We were really under pressure in this tour and I think you could tell from my facial expression in the pics. No one actually said a word during the tour even though there wasn’t any rule to not talk. It just wasn’t the right place to be happy. It was real.
