Corea del Norte perpetró los secuestros en las décadas de 1970 y 1980. Iizuka era el hermano mayor de Taguchi Yaeko, una de las secuestradas y también el líder de una agrupación de familiares de las víctimas. A lo largo de su lucha se reunió con siete primeros ministros de Japón, a quienes exhortó a trabajar más para resolver el asunto.

COVID-19ワクチン 3回目

大阪 24人の命を奪った火災



Según fuentes de investigación en Japón, un hombre de 61 años es sospechoso de haber provocado un incendio que se cobró la vida de 24 personas el viernes en Osaka, oeste del país. El incidente se está manejando como un posible caso de homicidio e incendio provocado.
El fuego se desató aproximadamente a las 10:20 a. m. en una clínica a la que el sospechoso acudía, en el tercer piso de un edificio de ocho plantas. 28 personas fueron trasladadas al hospital. Posteriormente, 14 hombres y 10 mujeres, cuyas edades se cree que fluctúan entre los 20 y los 69 años, fueron declarados muertos. The meeting, behind closed doors, was held Wednesday at the Tokyo residence of the Danish ambassador.
Kofod mentioned Arimoto Keiko, who was last seen at a Copenhagen airport in 1983, when she was 23 years old. The minister reportedly offered Denmark's help in getting the abduction issue resolved soon.
The relatives noted that their efforts have become a struggle against time, as they are getting older and older, and asked for Denmark's support.
After the meeting, Yokota Sakie, whose daughter Megumi was abducted by North Korean agents in 1977, said she was grateful that the Danish minister wanted to meet with them. She added that she is hopeful that the countries of the world will unite to demand that North Korea resolve the issue.
Iizuka Koichiro, son of Taguchi Yaeko, who was abducted in 1978, was also at the meeting. He reportedly told Kofod that his mother had not been able to see him grow up and that he was devastated. He added that he had also asked Denmark for support.
The Government of Japan indicates that North Korean agents abducted at least 17 of its citizens in the 1970s and 1980s. Five of them returned to the country in 2002, but the whereabouts of the remaining 12 are unknown.

日本政府は、1970年代から1980年代にかけて、北朝鮮の工作員が少なくとも17人の自国民を拉致したと発表している。そのうち5人は2002年に帰国したが、残りの12人の行方はわからない。
