こんばんは、とりです。
ペンギンの基本知識第１０弾、今週はキタイワトビペンギンです。
●キタイワトビペンギン
本シリーズ第３弾でご紹介したのは「ミナミイワトビペンギン」でしたが、今日書くのは「キタイワトビペンギン」です。
数年前までは「イワトビペンギン」の亜種と言われていましたが、今は独立した種と言われています。生息域が違う他、顔の飾り羽や体格はキタイワトビペンギンの方が大きいです♪
国内で飼育されている園館はあまり多くないですが、個体数がと～っても多いのは神奈川県にある京急油壷マリンパークです！ 飼育スペースもとても良く、お気に入りの園館の１つです。お近くの皆様もそうでない皆様も、キタイワトビペンギン好きなら満足すること間違いなしですので、ぜひご訪問ください♪

The tenth basic information of penguins is about Northern Rockhopper Penguins.

I wrote about 'Southern' Rockhopper Penguins in 'The third basic information of penguins', but today, I write about 'Northern Rockhopper Penguins'.
Till several years ago, they were called as sub-species of 'Rockhopper Penguins', but now, they are called as independent species. Not only they live in another areas, but crests are larger and body is also larger!
In Japan, there are not many zoos or aquariums that keep them, but at Keikyu Aburatsubo Marinepark in Kanagawa prefecture, we can many Northern Rockhopper Penguins! The exhibition place is very good and I love this aquarium! If you love this species and visit there, you will be satisfied with seeing them, so please visit there!!
