こんばんは、とりです。
ペンギンの基本知識第５弾、今週はエンペラーペンギンです。
●エンペラーペンギン
エンペラーペンギンは今日（2018年2月4日）現在、日本では２か所でしか見ることができません。愛知県にある名古屋港水族館と和歌山県にある南紀白浜アドベンチャーワールドです。
しかし、私が葛西臨海水族館や旭山動物園でペンギンを観察していると・・・(^_^;;;)。
「あ、コウテイペンギン！」
とか
「南極じゃないのに大丈夫なのかなぁ？」
という言葉をしょっちゅう聞きます。
大丈夫です、みなさんがご覧になっているのは南極周辺の島々にいるキングペンギンでして・・・(^_^;;;;;)。
さて、エンペラーペンギンとキングペンギンは生息域が違う以外に、顔の斑紋の色、形が違ったり、体形が全く違います。また、ひなも違う姿をしています。
同時に見比べられるのは南紀白浜アドベンチャーワールドだけなので、比べてみたい皆様、ぜひ一度ご訪問ください！

The fifth basic information of penguins is about Emperor Penguins.
< Emperor Penguins >
At present, as of February 4, 2018, we can see Emperor Penguins only at two places in Japan. One is Nagoya Public Aquarium in Aichi prefecture and another is Adventure World in Wakayama prefecture.
However, when I watch penguins at Tokyo Sea Life Park or at Asahiyama Zoo......
"Oh, EMPEROR PENGUINS!"
or
"Are they safe as here is not Antarctic?"
I often hear such conversations.
There is no problem because penguins you are watching are KING PENGUINS who live in islands around Antarctic and...... :-)
Well, Emperor Penguins and King Penguins live in another areas and patches' color and shape on their face, their body are completely different. And chicks look completely different, too.
Only at Adventure World, we can compare them at the same time, so please visit there if you want to compare!
