私は会社からの帰り道、湘南新宿ラインか埼京線に乗ります。大宮駅では、埼京線は１９～２２番線に、湘南新宿ラインは１１番線に着きます。
この１１番線には湘南新宿ラインの他に回送列車や武蔵野線からの直通列車も多く走ります。ダイヤが乱れると渋滞が発生し、１０分以上待たされることもあります。
ところで、この１１番線の隣には１２番線というホームがあります。ダイヤが乱れたらここを使えばいいのに、という声も聞こえてくるのですが、このホーム、架線がありません(^_^;;)。その昔、川越線がまだ気動車だったころに使っていたホームなのだとか。
誰かさんのためにも架線を張りませんか、ＪＲ東日本さん？(^_^;)

On my way home, I always take the Shonan-Shinjuku line or the Saikyo line trains. At Omiya station, the Saikyo line trains arrive at platform No.19, 20 21 and 22, and the Shonan-Shinjuku line trains arrive at platform No.11.
At this platform No.11, many trains not only the Shonan-Shinjuku line trains but also deadhead trains and the Musashino line trains are running. If some trains are delayed, the platform is jammed and we have to wait before the station, sometimes for over ten minutes.
By the way, there is platform No.12 beside the platform No.11. Some people say that trains may run there, but there is no overhead power line. :| Long time ago, when the Kawagoe line trains were diesel railcars, the platform was used.
For some poor persons, would you please fix overhead power lines? :-)
