Dave, a newly licensed electrician, was called to fix some faulty wiring in an old mansion. The owner, an eccentric old lady, had an equally eccentric parrot named Max.
As Dave was working, every time he touched a wire, Max would squawk, "Zap! Zap!" It startled Dave every time, making him think he was getting shocked.
Frustrated, Dave turned to the old lady and asked, "Does he always do that?"
She replied, "Oh yes, Max used to belong to another electrician. He picked up some... shocking habits!"
Dave laughed, "Well, I hope he's the only thing shocking me today!"
