How could TOEIC score measure ability?
In recent weeks, I got a score of TOEIC test 915.
I was glad to see the result, but, to think about it carefully, how much is my English skill be?
Though for a long time I have pursued more than 900 score as my objective, it is said that getting a high score of TOEIC test isn't necessarily equal to ability to use languages.
Reading and listening skills may be measured by the test scores, but speaking and writing skills, which are indispensable, can't be.
I can read an English newspaper and listen to the radio news, but when it comes to speaking and writing, poor skills will be revealed.
While 1 out of 30 gets the score of more than 900, 1 out of 300 gets the score of more than 950.
It is truth that the gap between 900 and 950 is very wide.

Struggling
Time past rapidly.

When you try something new, many olders interrupt it.
You need to make carefully preparations to avoid useless conflict with opponents, a strong mind to argue about it and never be defeated, and a gut that make you get up whenever you hit the screen and fall down.

If I could be anywhere in the world right now, I would choose to go to Africa, especially Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.

I've planned to visit there since I heard of the story of a Japanese man who was sent to Nairobi on business and led to a wonderful life with nature.

Cotton club near Waseda University is great place for me. It is very reasonable restaurant and serves much food and drink that even appease my huge appetite.
I like a restaurant with casual atmosphere. Because of seeking satisfaction without worrying about price and small amount of food, buffet style meal satisfies me. A sort of dirt, crowded and noisy atmosphere don't matter.
Cotton club is always filled with young and energetic students. My wife says it is the role model for our post-retirement plan.

There are only high-rise concrete buildings which they can see other places such as New York, Seoul, and Singapore.
I want them to see old Japanese culture and have feeling for it.
