Secret Santa Exchange

Today was the day for secret santa exchange with the other girls. We first went to watch the movie New Years Eve which was similar to Valentine's Day but much better well done. Then me and Jenn got suckered into looking at Scotch and Soda because of their "Up to 70% off" sign. I held myself back from buying an $80 vest... next week I'll be sure to check to see if they have any discount on their sales!

After, we went to Mikado for dinner where me and Jenn shared three rolls (dragon eye, chop chop maki, and sunset roll) and a tofu twist. We then did gift exchange where I gave Phoebe her gift! Clarissa was my secret santa and she gave me the scotch and soda scarf I wanted!

After dinner, me, clarissa, phoebe, janetta, and jenn stayed at a starbucks to further discuss our japan trip. However, it's not really going that far. I think we are now considering flights to Hanada airport, as it is much cheaper taxes, and some people are considering shortening the trip even more. So far I am left with the homework of coming up with an itinerary!

Happy New Years 2012

HAPPY NEW YEARS!

あけましておめでとうございます！

Today I hung out with Phu for the first time after he got back from his trip to Vegas. We went to watch Mission Impossible 3 and then we ended up going to Red Lobster for dinner because all the other good places were closed today. After, we played with my new Cardfight Vanguard cards! I guess I'm lucky to have a bf that is willing to accompany me with doing stupid things .

New Years Eve 2011

The countdown begins to a new 2012! My new years resolution is to become more active and involved in the community . Although how much of that resolution I complete I do not know... but I do have 365 days!

This morning I scrambled out of bed to head out for lunch with a couple of my MAT E friends I haven't seen since last school semester. One of them went off to U of T for grad school while the other one is doing grad school at U of A. Everyone is so old now *__*. We went to famoso for pizza lunch. The concept of the restaurant is quite interesting and I'll be sure to bring Phu or my family there!

After lunch, we did a bit of shopping where I ended up helping my parents purchase extremely late Christmas gifts from Crabtree & Evelyn to give to people that night. At around 4 pm, my family and I went out to meet up with my aunt and uncle to visit my poh poh (indirect grandma). She's currently hospitalized at this place thats between seniors home and hospital. I think it was a really sad place to be and if I can help it I would never put my parents into a place like that . Afterwards, we went to beijing beijing for family dinner.

At night my sister, me, and grace headed out to city hall to see the new years fireworks. We got there early at 10 pm because my sister was meeting up with her friend at that time . Me and Grace checked out the two pavillions (had a hong fan creep us ), heard this girl from Alberta sing, saw Maxwell and talked to him, and then met up with some of Grace's friends. Phu also snuck out from work for a bit to see the fireworks! I had to push through a crowd of people to meet up with him .

The one thing I regret that night is what happened with my sister. She pissed me off so much that I ended up screaming and swearing at her over the phone. That got me into shit with family and it made me really embarassed about the fact that my friends saw the whole thing >.<. I guess anger management is another thing I need to work on for this year!
