We're thrilled to annouce that the next release on One Eyed Jacks label is a debut by the quiet and friendly producer from the south of Portugal, Pal.He's a skilled soundsmith in love with vintage synths, but prefers to create non-formulaic, banging music that escapes lazy categorization and retromania. Both tracks have a distinctive and engaging sound, with brutal rhythmic sections and an evocative - almost noospheric - romantic undertone. For the remix we've invited two masked, certified jackmasters to turn "The Forest" into a wall-shaking, raw dancefloor weapon. They've come up with something extra special: a Chicago-style drumtrack that owes nothing to the current sugary House revival, but instead revives the primal energy of those long, drum-centered jacking tools that are continuously cited as an essential part of the Music Box voodoo. Support so far from Phillip Sherburne, Perc, DJ Kaos, Ghosts On Tape, Cardopusher, Dan Avery and many more.
Dust is still settling down from what was a more than successful fifth anniversary back here in the Dam. Time to get back on track, with yet another milestone for our beloved label. Here?s number ten, with our homeboy Makam and Funkineven on remix duties. Who the hell is Jack anyway?

After the whirlwind that was NY Stomp, for our 4th installment we welcome back Illusion Recordings family member DJ Ali who takes us on a classic west coast house journey with the Make It Hot EP.After a long break away from writing music we brought DJ Ali back on to the scene on our debut ILL001 release with the killer Park Your Mind which ended up on both CDs of Cocoons 2011 Green & Blue compilation mixed by Sascha Dive & Raresh. DJ Ali made a huge impact at the start of the century releasing some monster hits on seminal labels such as Classic (You Dont Know), NIghtshift, Visitor and his own Village label which catapulted Ali to legendary status. His uniquely captivating tracks were massive hits around the world fusing classic west coast house beats with sultry vocals, funked up basslines and his undeniable grooves After a hiatus of 6 years we are extremely proud to release Alis long awaited Make It Hot EP. The title track, featuring the beautiful vocals of Lady Precise, is classic DJ Ali. Working jacking west coast house beats around a sultry vocal, a dark grooving bline and tripped out effects, Ali delivers a stomping club track for crazy dance floors. Completing the A side we have enlisted techno pioneer Bodycode aka Portable to deliver us a suitably hot remix. In true Bodycode fashion he spices up the vocal, adds his trademark haunting analogue bassline and metallic beats leaving us with a timeless classy techno classic. On the B side we have Illusion family member Seelie who remixes lead track Make it Hot into a dubbed out classic house rework. Seelie chops the vocal to perfection adding his trademark low-slung beats and classic house riffs to deliver a subtle yet killer house cut. This will surely tick the box for any real house heads and reaffirms the fact that Seelie is definitely one to watch! For the second trak on the B-side we have Alis second offering Electra, which is a dark space-age tribal four to the floor club track reminiscent of the tracky, tribal west coast house for which Ali made his name. On this track Ali stiffens up his drums intertwining a tripped out sax, spacey vocals and effects to give us a classic DJ Ali club track perfectly crafted for those hazy sunsets and late nights. Stepping up for the digital exclusive we enlist ONE Records dynamic duo Subb-an & Adam Shelton. They twist the original and take it on an even deeper tribal trip, keeping the original spaced out feeling whilst reworking the bline and beats into a sleazy, hypnotic head nodder of a track. Cue Summer. Cue DC10.
