今回のエンジニアクラスは韓国で生まれたロボット「HUBO」を学びました。Huboは２足歩行ができるロボットで、車を運転したり、工具を使ったり、扉を開けたりと様々な動作ができます。その中でも開発に苦労したと言われているのが、歩行技術。KOAの子供達も歩くロボットを作りました。
Today we learned about a South Korean robot called Hubo! Hubo is a walking robot, but is being developed to also be able to do perform other tasks such as driving a car, operating power tools, and opening doors. Walking is one of the most difficult hurdles to overcome when developing robots. We focused today on trying to create robots that could walk, and learned just how difficult it can be! But all the while we had a fun time learning and trying to make it work.
