悲しい日本大逆転

日本はもはやアジアに教える立場から教わる立場になりつつことに早く気づいていただきたい。そういえば、日経新聞の政治面で取材を受けました(^^)I was interviewed by Nikkei Shinbun on Japanese politics and economy the other day.

The man who flew Godzilla

I am shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Mr. Banno's sudden passing. Mr. Banno, the creator of Godzilla vs Hydra and more recently, executive producer of
Legendary's Godzilla which was a huge success.

Mr. Banno, I've learned so much from you. I truly appreciate the time and wisdom, you'd shared with me. You were my inspiration.

May you rest in peace, Mr. Banno, and know Godzilla will always be part of our culture.

坂野監督、いろいろありがとうございました‼
ご冥福をお祈りします!

Johnwoon goes to Washington!

On the brink of war, both sides have  turned the conversation into a hostage crisis from missile crisis,
by DPRK capturing U.S. citizens who weren't supposed to be there in the first place. Which kind of saved the world from going into a full fledge war.

There are two types of diplomacy. An official diplomatic relationship and the unofficial back channelled relationship. Japan and DPRK have  for the longest time, established a long-term back channelling relationship through a significant number of North Koreans living in Japan for at least  3 generations. These people have contributed to the North's economy through local pachinko parlor businesses and so forth for more than 60 years which supported the regimes very existence… untill now.  Japanese government, for the good cause, "Kept one eye closed" pretending as if this never existed.
Japan and the North may occasionally get into a shouting match, but they will not get physical, as long as these hard working North Korean descendants are here in Japan helping the regime.

Japan is deliberately feeding into the rhetoric of a world war class missile crisis in order to conflate it into article 9 referendum, orchestrated by non other than, prime minister Abe. Where as South Koreans are  indulging in their presidential election and aren't too intimidated by the war crisis, because they know that there won't be one.
